I wish I could say yes but after some of the results this season the answer is no

Terrible season. But would I keep him? In this situation yes, in other situations maybe not. But I don't believe in the sacking culture which comes hand in hand with modern football.

I wanted him out at Christmas, I posted in an argument somewhere that more fans would want him out than remain before the end of the season.

Take away the fact nobody likes Warnock as a person, completely take personalities out of it and seriously, is McDermott better? NO

The following also springs to mind back in January:

I'm starting to think he's worse than Colin. I can't remember so many humiliating results last season.

Exactly, every season we seem to get one thrashing, this season it is too many to remember. Today the defence is the one McDermott inherited, but if they are not good enough why did he sign Wootton and Zakliukas and why has Warnock at LB suddenly fallen out of favour when he has been one of the slightly better players and why is Butland in goal being paid a wage when we can't possibly get promoted, seriously McDermott is clueless

He is worse than Colin and he's spent money. Would Clayton be doing a better job in centre mid? You could pin that on Colin as Austin (his signing) and Murphy (BMcD signing) surely haven't been any better? Tonge,Green,Norris all Warnock lads are also taking a chunk of our wages albeit Green is out on loan at the moment.

I cant remember a team with so little heart and i'm sure McDermott would have been sacked ages ago if the inforstructure behind the scenes were stable. Sad but true.

What really pee'd me off was when McD said he has finally got a team with width that he has been looking for when he brought in Stewart and Kebe - Why in that case did he make all those earlier signings and splashed the cash on Murphy who is no better than the abundance of average talent we already had/have in Norris, Tonge, Green and Brown

ONE McD signing is okay, Smith but that's all he is, simply okay.... Hunt, Kebe, Murphy, Stewart, Zakliukas, Wootton, Aribyi no better than anything we already had.

I strongly suspect the dressing room is split as well and I doubt there is a single player with an ounce of respect for the manager.

Best win of the season and guess what, McD wasn't in charge!!

Good prospect was Murphy. But as you said hes at the level or maybe just above the others mentioned. He also brought in Wickam and Smith proved he was the big man that deserved game time. We dont control games at all, theres nothing coming through the centre mid so we dont dominate games. Brown and Tonge back in for me, cant be any worse. As for Stewart and Kebe, complete waste as we cant play with wingers, or at least with them. Kebe let me down big time as I rated him publicly but he's not the same player at all for whatever reasons.

Bottom line is a lot of fans have given up on McDermott but it seems the players did a while ago and that should spell the end.

When we can afford to sack him he will be lucky to ever manage higher than Div 1 or Div 2 - He is finished and the sooner he has gone the better

I've wondered what happened to Arybi, he came in and was meant to be the future only to make a couple of bench appearances.

I can't believe we gave up on Le Fondre and Sharp for Hunt. We mighty as well have kept Morison for all the good he's done.

Wickham was a waste of our time.

I was one of the people who wanted Grayson fired a couple of years ago but now I'm regretting the fact that we got rid of him.

Get rid of the useless ****. I was one of the few who was pleased when Cellino fired him, and was pissed off when he got reinstated the next day.
And if he was such a 'nice guy' he would do the decent thing and resign, but he knows the club can't afford to sack him.
    Just **** off McDermott.

I'll cut him slack for Murphy signing when we needed wingers. I think he believed he'd have the money for both but the rug was pulled afterwards. Ultimately, first choice or not, he's signed a chunk of players and most don't make the team. No matter how difficult the circumstances he's working under, we've been carp all season and our points tally flatters us.

I'm assuming warnock has been dropped for being out on the lash, which might also account for the loaning of pelts.

Whichever, the answer to the OP is no

Nice guy and all that, but I did say before he became manager that he was probably not the right man for the job, the players have let him down, and themselves bigtime, but he can't go on like this, its a ****ing joke

Olof <ok> he's not a nice guy though he's a greedy **** who won't do the decent thing and resign. He's hanging around for his big payoff from Leeds when he knows we're on our knees financially
