    It was a panic buy.

It is looking like Mourinho was right about Mata, which is sad as I think he's a cracking player.

Mata is a fantastic player. Why he went there i'll never know. Dont think he's the fault, the full teams ****ed.

Chelsea have looked far better since him - and the constant questioning about him - has gone. Maybe, just maybe, that Jose knows something about this football lark.

I didn't suggest for one minute l he's the fault, he's just not what they needed, and nor was Fellaini. I know their fans slag off Young but i'd play him full 90 every week until they replace him like for like with something better. They are so slow it is ridiculous, they never turn the opposition defence.

I tell you what as well - if you could pick just one player in world football who would solve so many of Utd's problems in one fell swoop it would be Paul Pogba. Someone needs to ask some serious questions of how they fooked that up so royally. He even wanted to stay!

It's funny seeing Pogba play brilliantly for Juve and then realise Man Utd decided to use Cleverley instead of him... :D

People often use Fergie's occasional terrible signings - Bebe, Djemba Djemba, Taibi and the like - to slag him off but letting Pogba go was probably his biggest mistake in his Utd reign.

Wasn't quite like that. Pogba, having barely made a single first team appearance, demanded £40k a week and nothing less. SAF refused to be held to ransom by a greedy kid, the rest is history. They didn't choose Cleverley instead, they did the right thing IMO.

Ravel Morrisson did the same, demanding a ridiculous salary, hence his departure from old Trafford. He'd have done a job in this Man U team anarl.

Erm, no - that's not what happened at all. Pogba actually took a pay CUT when he signed for Juve. He held 'showdown' talks with Ferguson demanding to play as he knew he was ready and when Ferguson refused, he left. You might accuse him of holding him to ransom in that way, but it certainly was nothing to do with money.

He has been approached by PSG - who publicly identified him as their number 1 target - and Real Madrid in the last transfer window knowing he could quadruple his salary but he wasnt interested, as he wants to play week in week out. He's done astonishingly at Juve to keep Claudio Marchisio out of the starting XI and he knows his first team place is worth much more than money at another club.

United will solve the midfield problem with William Carvalho. He's a beast and will be at the same level as Yaya in 2 years.

They've been 'about to' sign a top midfielder for the last 5 years but they never do. For years it was that De Rossi guy at Roma who kept being mentioned but they never got round to signing him or anyone else. Have they signed a first team midfielder since Carrick? United's transfer policy is bizarre. It's as if they want to decline.

EDIT: Just remembered Fellaini. Duh <doh>

Why would he go to Man Utd when better clubs are after him?

Another one is Sneijder, who has definitely been going to Man Utd for about 5 years now.

Sporting and United have a good relationship and i expect United not to make the mistake of leaving it for after the WC. They'll pay the clause 45 millions euros and others probably don't need him so much.

To be fair i reckon they dodged that one, Wes has had about 1 good season in a decade. He's living off the treble season with Inter, who were desperate to offload him last season.

Mata is a cracking player just that he does not fit into Jose Morinho's master plan. Mata has joined a team that is clapped out and in dire need of a total rebuild.

The spine of De Gea - Jones - Mata and Rooney is in place. Moyes just needs to add new and fresh players.

Speculation that upto 12 first team players will leave in the summer and not all by choice.

Our game @ OT on tuesday 6th may will for sure see many play there last games @ Old Trafford.

    ++++++++++++++++++++

As for last nights 0-3 home loss, Man Utd should think themselves lucky as it could and should have been much worse.
