Savage is giving everyone the benefit of his wisdom! See: - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26683539 He nominates only three United players, De Gea, Vidic and Rooney in his 'dream team'. Would you add to that on current form? I guess tonight will decide, when I see the winner emerging by 2 clear goals.
Dunno about Nasri or Kolarov - haven't seen Nasri do anything worthy of note this season, and whilst Kolarov has improved he still looks like an accident waiting to happen for much of the game. But then there's not much competition from our side - Evra and Mata on form would be better, but then we have very few players who are on form right now. Would've thought Navas was a better shout for RW based on his early displays, but seems like he may have tailed off a bit recently.
It seems that Savage favours De Gea over Joe Hart, which may surprise England fans and even some Untd supporters. Vidic, probably past his prime and soon to be heading elsewhere, must have only just got Savage's nod. Rooney - no argument the best selection.
I actually agree with Savage for once I think. Nasri over Mata all day(this season) but Evra v Kolarov. Otherwise I think he's got it right.
I just do not get this continued assumption that Vidic is good. He's been a busted flush for two seasons, what are people watching? Should not be anywhere near a United side let alone a combined.
Past glories and the typical narrow minded view that good CB's make last ditch tackles. Not true, good centre backs dont make last ditch tackles.
