What classy fans we are. Whether we agree on something or not we are all supposed to come together and support our team. Some posts people create on here make interesting reading, however one reason I don't comment on here often is that I do not like getting involved in debate where others try and ridicule others for their opinion. Just because I do not comment on here does not mean that I do not have a voice, I express my opinion in different ways. How dare somebody tell me that I need to take a long hard look at myself, just because I do not agree with them I am certainly no clown. Just because I do not agree I you think I am on the 'tard side? What a nice person you are. Stuart when asking me what I thought of the promotion party last May I am not sure what you were referring to, sorry. I am a 'yes' voter, and I was sharing my opinion and have explained it, whether you agree with it or not I am not really bothered. There are other reasons I am also in the 'yes' camp, for months I have listened to and read and taken on board opinions of both of the yes and no camps, and one thing I do is respect the viewpoint of others.
I am referring to that mean and spiteful act by our current owners whereby an entire city was deprived of the chance to watch a promotion parade through the streets (similar to 2008 when 100,000 cheered our team from the stadium to the guildhall) just because of the bitchfest with Terry Gerraghemonside. The good will of pensioners, little kids, passers by, the non-aligned and city folk in general squandered in some obscure duel with the corporation. One man's brittle ego trumps an entire city's goodwill. "It's his money, he can cancel the parade if he wants" ?
There's a world of difference between some business coming along and say we'll give you so many million pounds if you change the name of the ground and simply hoping that by changing the name of the club it will generate income.
