Ok lads, we're running out of ideas regarding our squad. So in the coming days I'm going to reveal the recent form of our loan players who we could recall (Some at a cost) to see if there's anything they could bring to us in our present plight. I'm starting with Connor for a few reasons, the 1st being that a lot are calling for him to be recalled and to start too, he's a hot topic, the 2nd being he's just played his 5th game at Leeds and I feel the last 5 games is a decent range to gauge what sort of instant impact they could bring if brought back. These articles do not contain my opinion, make of these what you will, any opinions of my own will posted in response like everyone else. <ok>

Starting from his début vs QPR.

I've made it clear I don't see him as our saviour and his stats don't fill me with confidence. A positive from those for me though is his direct approach. He's still taking on players and running at people, though still doing naff all with it, more direct players may install a bit of urgency in the team and could be a kick up the arse, something I've bigged up in Watmore has to applied here too, Conner could be a decent player to have on the bench if the other strikers don't pick up. But start? Massive massive no from me.

Yes please for me..He has never been given a chance in his time up here, and he surely can't do any worse than the alternatives we have available..

Will never be a premiership player, bog standard championship player at best. But I understand that the predicament we are in you have to try every option available.

start him. then if he screws up, at least he will take some of the pressure off Jozy and some of the fans on here will have someone else to blame....

I can see why we need him back but it`s not going to make the rest of that shower any better.

He`s going to have same problems of supply.

I sincerely hope not but I wonder if he`s on a hiding to nothing.

Some of the same fans that have ripped Altidore for only scoring once are ****ing themselves into a frenzy that we've recalled one goal Wickham.

Personally I think its good that he's back as its an extra option.

Because bog standard championship players score 7 goals in 9 games <ok>
Bog standard championship players don't have the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool chasing them.
He's never been given a proper chance in the premiership. How are you so sure he will never be a premier league player?

Just face it, Altidore has probably got the all time worst goalscoring record in the premier league, ever.

Wickham has more potential in his little toe than couldn't hit a barn door.

He could have the same effect as McClean did a couple of seasons back.

I'd give the lad a run of games , the alternatives haven't worked so he can't make things any worse.

to watch jozy saturday was a painful experience ,then to add scocco to the problem as well was akin to having teeth pulled ,wolfswinkle has endured the same fourtunes in front of goal but at least he can control a football and bring into play others .
i will be amazed if wickham now does not play instead of jozy because his time must be up now

The whole team played **** so you can't just blame Altidore. most of the time if you win the midfield battle then you win the game & we haven't won the midfield battle for ages now. our midfield is piss weak end of.

Wickham will do nothing in my opinion.

Has anybody looked at how bad his stats are in a lower league side yet? They're as bad as Jozy's or Fletchers in the premiership. <yikes>

    Hardly a player in form.

They are idiots pal. let's all bow down to the GREAT Connor Wickham<laugh> Poyet has only brought him back because Scocco is miles off & Fletcher is **** for the rest of the season.

About as excited about him coming back as I would be at the prospect of sitting on a porcupine.

Why not stick Wickham and Jozy on together. Give there poor defence something to at least think about. With AJ & Giacch on the wings we at least have some quality and a couple of battering rams. We are expected to get beat. Let's at least go for it as opposed to 90 mins of attempted damage limitation.

That, I reckon is asking for trouble.
More likely end up like Baz prediction.
May as well have a go.
