Will memberships still count for any playoff matches we may be involved in?

So what will dictate the kick off time for the final?
Isn't it usually 3rd v 6th and 4th v 5th in the semis? That should leave us with Wigan in the semi and possibly Derby in the final.

Championship playoffs are my favourite. Really looking forward to this. I think Leicester are as good as promoted now but there's still an outside chance for you guys and Derby to catch Burnley. If not then we are in for cracking playoff ties. I am hoping Forest pip Reading to 6th (though that looks unlikely). Derby v Forest over two legs would be mouthwatering and QPR and Wigan are the two best footballing teams in the division for me (despite league placing).

Well would you look what the cat dragged in. So you're alive after all, DL? Funny that. There wasn't a sign of you when I was looking for you during the Boycott recently. There one minute, gone the next. Such a disappearing act would've put David Copperfield to shame.

Tell me, did you enjoy making me the mockery of the whole Site? You made me look a right eejit DL, I hope you know that.

So come one then, lets be havin' ye???

Evening..have to say that as much as i hate Chelsea, that was a total lesson in Football you gave the Gunners on Sat.

Better in every department & completely ruthless. What I'd give for us to be a bit more like that!!

Last night's program gave the latest but not confirmed ) dates given to Rangers by the Football League.

From memory (at work, my son's program is at home) Thursday 8th 6v3, Friday 9th 5v4, Sunday 11th 3v6 (kickoff either stupidly early or stupidly late), Monday 12th 4v5.

This would seem likely to me as the finalists would then have time to distribute tickets.

Can someone check their progam & confirm please.

Thanks Queenslander. It was great viewing. Thrashing Tottenham and Arsenal in the space of 2 weeks it doesn't get much better. League is City's now but reckon we can go all the way in Europe.

Crucial win for you guys last night. Psychologically that could be massive going into the playoffs.

    It's usually 3pm.

You have arguably the better run-in.

The OP says the game lasts for 180 minutes! Normal for these games perhaps as men not boys are required in the PL, haa? It will suit BZ anyway, as everyone on here seems to doubt he can play 90...

I'm screwed as I fly back from Phuket then.

This all means Burnley have got to fold and Arry you got to get us 8 wins on the trot, right. You know other that than BZ our players can't do 180's.

You won't be playing on Saturday 17th May. The FA somewhere made a big fuss about how happy they were that this season's FA Cup Final is after the PL season ends and has it's own date with no other games being played that day for the first time in a while so it'd be embarrassing for them if PO games were the same day.

Based on when we were in them and that FA Cup date:

I would expect the semi-finals to be played 1st leg the weekend of 10th May. It's the weekend after your normal season ends so you've got a week to sell tickets, and the PL ends that weekend as well so all those games are on Sunday. Probably do L2 on Thursday/Friday night, with Championship on Saturday lunchtime and tea time (not allowed 3pm kickoffs except for FA Cup but it maximises TV viewers), then L1 on Sunday.

2nd legs would then be played in the same order so L2 being Monday night, Championship Tuesday/Wednesday and L1 getting Thursday night.

The Final, as it's a tournament year will then be Saturday 24th for Championship, followed by L1 and L2 in that order on Sunday/Monday. That gives about 10 days after the semis for teams to sell tickets before their game.

The problem is for the semi-finals they wait to see what all the fixtures are before they announce the order they'll be played in, even the day they're on, so you probably won't know until the Monday morning after the end of the season what day you're playing. I can't see the Championship ones not being given the prime slots of Saturday and Tuesday/Wednesday night though, but they could be any day. All you know is that the first legs are 6vs3, and 5vs4, with the reverse fixtures for the second leg so that the higher placed team has home advantage for extra-time if it's needed (no away goals)

These dates were officially announced yesterday. Personally I'm leaning towards the Sunday for the home leg, that would give time for a couple down the pub beforehand......
