It will be interesting to see the replay for that pen. It looked a dive to me,but who dives and then bounces straight back up,when attempting simulation ? Maybe Long just slipped, there was a lot of that going on today.

    1/ Davies

    2/ Rosenior

    3/ Chester

Special mention for Jelavic, the bloke plays like he means it, but just needs a bit better luck.

1,Chester. Best game all season from him. Personally think he outshone Davies.
    2, long. Fantastic outing
3, rosie. Deserved his goal for out standing run and solid defending all game.

I did, in the post directly above yours. He's a traditional player, kind of like a modern day Ian Ashbee. Hard man.

Rosie - his none defensive game has improved remarkably this season. Still made a lot of crucial tackles/blocks. Not counting his goal in this ranking.

Chester - Best game of the season for him. Assisted Davies whom while excellent, wasn't at the same unbelievable level as previous matches today.

Umm.. hard choice. Meyler for me. Typical of recent matches with his tackling, bullying and runs.

Hard to leave out Davies and Long. Honourable mention to Hudds and Jelovic.

Davies and Chester cleared everything thrown at them today, including some great tackles around our box.

I could have gone for several others for third spot, as Long, Meyler, Chester all ran Hudd close for me but I gave it to Tom because he seems to have taken a bit of the recent criticism on board and did get forward more often today, which helped to influence the result. Livermore looked a bit more like his old self, although still prone to error and Elmo had probably one of his best games as an orthodox right back. Jelavic works hard although he's really clumsy and his touch at times is awful but he's a good foil for Long. McGregor made a couple of good stops and was his usual assured self. Aluko, is worrying in how far away he looks from the player he was. I think he needs to be kept back for short cameo appearances until he gets some confidence back. Koren didn't do a lot when he came on but it was still more than Sone achieved in twice as long on the pitch.

Chessy and Sir Curtis equal first, great defensive performance Anichebie gave up in the end. Honourable mention for Tom.

It looked like he tumbled over to break his fall so he didn't fall awkwardly and was able to get up.

I definitely rate Long above Jelavic. I know Jel runs all day long but his shots and passing aren't as good as Long and that kind of weakens the positive of his energy.

I watched the extendeds on sky before motd and my vote for jela is switching for thudd. I was undecided earlier but ive changed my mind now!

My mate who was at his first city prem game today though thudd was our best by a mile, maybe we've just got used to him?
