We have seen that their threats, intimidation & blackmail have been used so far, so I'm surprised we have not seen a promise of a season ticket discount for the fans that vote YES !! Bugger, now what if they read this & use the idea
In effect they have said exactly that - because they've said a 'no' will mean higher season ticket prices.
Why are we ? Who is to say that if they decide to sell that a new owner may not be better ? As things stand at the moment, with the Allams we are doomed anyway
A better new millionaire owner willing to plough millions into Hull City? How many of those have we had in our lifetime? Cloud. Cuckoo. Land.
Pretty much anyone would be better than Allam. Under him we're £100m in debt, four times more than under Duffen/Bartlett, we're an embarrassment and we can't fill our stadium despite the best success on the pitch ever. And before anyone frigging says it that is not down to the owner, same as at every club ever.
I think you are right. The main fear isn't so much the threat to sell but the statement that the Allams will ensure they get their money back. Personally I don't think there will be a buyer willing to pay the required sum but the Premier League money will be siphoned off whilst investment is cut to zero. Fans need to enjoy this year. It will be the finest in the clubs history but will be followed by a Portsmouth style meltdown.
There's always somebody who wants to buy a Premier League club for the right price. We are now "mid table" or as near as most clubs would hope for. Stoke and Villa have a lot of debts. If we do get bought the debts will be written off as part of the deal. I'd much rather the Allam's stay and turn into local heroes for giving regular Premier League football to Hull City. They only have to realise that the FA wont allow the name change and the fans don't want a change of name and the council is not going to give them the ground. They can then concentrate on improvements they can make. They should be able to get a good sponsorship deal and improve merchandising and hospitality. I know we are not selling out presently but I still think it's worthwhile increasing the capacity to 34,000. Reducing prices may actually bring in more money when you take into account bigger attendances and merchandising.
How many times have we been up for sale in the Premier League and an FA Cup semi-final? Assem Allam told the Guardian that when he sells he'll get his money back.
The only negotiation over the sale will be how much of Allamhouse's debt will be written off. He said he wants out so any businessman or woman worth their salt will try and get millions of pounds worth of the debt written off. A bit like buying a house when you know the seller has to sell and quick. I would think we'll already have interested parties making enquiries. We are no longer in the fourth division facing extension.
One way of increasing revenue would be to increase the capacity to 34,000 - which could be done quite cheaply - and sell to the away fans like the smaller Lancashire clubs used to do in the Premier League.
Really, how is that embarrassing? The FA are useless corrupt incompetent ****s, 'my way or the motorway' types who's 'my way' is always down to their discretion, liable to create a fresh set of rules for any given situation, they're petty, they do **** all, they're inept pieces of **** staining football in this country with their dysentery. It's about time everyone stood up to them and kicked all their smarmy little heads in, we need a proper FA establishing, and I'm proud of Allam for being the first not to just succumb to their power thirst bullshit and let them rape his arse willingly. Just a shame the name change is such a **** cause that ain't worth fighting for.
