I think the semi-literate johnop3 is having a competition with Johnib and Tony M to see if any of them can outdo Happy Tiger in the stupidity department.
The name won't change Happy Tiger , The decision is made by the FA and we have had strong indication of their feelings Like you said before the ballot time to move on
I assume you are being sarcastic? People should vote on their true feelings and not be bribed or blackmailed - that's what the Allams are trying to do.
How much does a full page advert in the HDM cost? if you don't mind me asking How was it funded and paid for? If you don't mind me asking. Why do CTWD insist on presenting supposition ( This is due to a dispute with the council) as fact? If you don't mind me asking.
£1680. From direct donations made by City fans, and surpluses made from scarf sales. Because Dr Allam tells anyone he ever meets that this is the heart of his motivation. CTWD have met him and heard him rant on about this literally for hours on end.
I hope supporters all make up there own minds how to vote and not be influenced by Assem Allam or CTWD.. Ctwd are a minority group of supporters numbering under 2,000. Unlike some including the Allams I don't see ctwd as the reason why the fa said no to the name change. They said no because they thought it was a stupid idea and would have said no whatever anyone else said . I shall vote no for the simple reason I prefer the name HULL City. If supporters are honest I am sure the no vote will walk it . 3-1 to Hull City today.
Proven right??? that would be the day. To get it right you have to have the marketing and the PR right and that is something these clowns haven't got a clue about. I give you last nights Look North as a perfect example. They are trying to get the fans onside for their changes so what do they do roll out two Vice Presidents of Hull City(BTW Vice Presidents of what? The toilets at the KC) and the head of business studies at the Uni who promptly scores a big own goal by saying how been in the PL last time saw applications sore at the UNI. Correct me if I am f**king wrong but we where HULL CITY then wern't we?
Yes I agree. Now go vote NO or the club's entire history will disappear and the club you support now will totally cease to exist. Vote NO to Hull Tigers or you'll have no club to support. Let me guess, thats not blackmail, that's different? Well thanks for that Captain Obvious. Nice way to spin it too. Noone at all expects the FA to consider the vote. Thats a matter of fact, and its on record from the club. Court? Jesus wept. Bent? Now you're really losing it. Suddenly considering the thoughts and feelings towards the club and the Allams of the silent majority must really unnerve you. Hardly surprising really, they won't be voting no. In a simple yes/no vote, its easy for both sides to claim these none voters as clearly being on their side, but actually give them a fence to sit on, and have the audacity to let them announce they're on that fence, well no, that doesn't suit you at all does it? You ain't going to be able to claim to speak for the majority, silent or otherwise after this vote and after the highs of the last week with the FA Committee showing us all how corrupt the FA is, s'gotta hurt. Calling it bent is pretty contemptible though. Its like losing a game, and running off home with the ball crying.
It won't change Happy Tiger. The FA said NO. Simple as that. Don't worry if the Allam s walk. Life goes on and our next owner might be our best owner ever.
I hope everyone votes how they really feel Mr Happy And to be honest I have yet to meet anyone who would pick Hull Tigers over Hull City when asked.
In case you hadn't noticed, pretty much everyone(other than our resident village idiots) think this is a bent vote and absolutely proves that we speak for the majority, our owners have proved it by not allowing a free vote. Our owners have lost the argument, this poll proves that they are fully aware that they'd lose a name change vote, so have tried to make it a vote of confidence vote instead. They do plan further action against the FA, that's what this poll is all about. Once again, they are stupidly painting themselves into a corner. If the wanted a vote of confidence, they should have asked for one, but by trying to get people to agree to an unpopular name change as part of that vote of confidence, they are alienating many of those who would normally supported them. The FA have rejected the name change, nobody is taking this ballot seriously, so it's not going to affect the name, but we have no option but to campaign against it, as we need a result that makes any future attempt to change the name impossible.
Aye mate I know. Well technically a sub committee has said no, the FA hasn't actually reached a final decision yet, but I expect them to go with the committee's recommendation. This poll isn't about that, its a simple and straight forward question to the fans, do you want us or not? If you do, we do things our way, if you don't, its been fab, but we're off. If it was just about money for them, like every single other owners club they'd just screw us over. The Liverpool fans didnt get a vote on keeping their owners during the protests against them, nor did Man U's, and most tellingly, the Cardiff fans didn't. We're getting a unique opportunity. They've said all along they did it for the fans, and if they don't have the fans backing they'll simply leave. We not only have a unique opportunity, we have a ground breaking one. This weeks vote is simple, twist or stick, and it takes consideration of EVERYONE'S opinion, not just a select few.
And you know you'll lose it. If a majority do not vote No, why shouldn't they challenge the decision? If a majority did vote No, and the FA allowed the name change, are you telling me CTWD wouldn't challenge the decision? One rule for you, one for everyone else as normal. They're asking the questions we've discussed online for ages now, and are making sure the people who don't care either way can have their say in a considered manner too.
You've been calling this wrong from the start and you continue to do so. This vote is being done to try and find some basis for a challenge to the FA decision, it's still a vote for a name change and should be treated as such. You seriously think this is just a vote of confidence? What the **** for? You're seriously suggesting that the owners don't know if they're popular or not? There's no Allam Out campaign being run by anyone, the campaign against the name change has never been anti-Allam, they have absolutely no reason to doubt their popularity, that's why their trying to use it to get a name change vote in their favour. It's bullying pure and simple.
As you say the vote is way too late and given the way it is written, and the statements this week, is likely to have little effect on the way the FA vote. The way the vote is being conducted makes us look unprofessional and something akin to a banana republic in the eyes of those outside Hull. You may not care about our reputation but I'd like to have our football club respected both on and off the pitch. Having a laugh on this board about CTWD, OLM and me is fine sport but remember there is a wider audience watching this and what they see is a ballot that isn't independent with questions that are less about the name and more about the owner.
Cheers for the concise reply. A big investment in the scheme of the things, shame the HDM weren't prepared to give you right of reply space without taking £1680 from you. I think you will get value for this outlay and if I were a member of CTWD (which I am not) this spend would have my backing. I am glad to hear your reply to the supposition question, the minutes to the meeting must be quite interesting to read. Given that the owner has continued to relentlessly take the piss out of the fans, would you consider releasing them so us mere mortals could understand fully that this really is a confirmed dummy spit. Perhaps you could put the issue of releasing the minutes to a members vote?
