Really really can't see us signing a soon to be 30 year old as one of our main strikers.

It's the only thing Mike Ashley is faithful to , players' wage caps and age.

You'd be looking at a canny fee for either of these as well.

Bear in mind that a fair chunk of that Carroll money will have gone on 2 bosman signing on fees and the Cabaye deal, plus wages.

He's right to say he wants players who will appreciate in value, but good young strikers are rare as ****, we'd both give anything for the next Hernandez!

I would give up my left testicle for a Hernandez like signing , one of the signing of the century if you ask me.

Instant impact , just what both our clubs need.

Would you be pleased with Pavlyuchenko or Crouch? I would rather have the former if you ask me.

I'm dead set against Crouch, it's Flo all over again for me, i think he's in terminal decline, and we'd be making a screaming howler if we signed him.

Pav, i think, would be a great signing for us, so long as the price was right (£7million tops).

His goalscoring record, as a player never fully trusted, is fantastic, i could see him making a big difference for us.

Think you'll do well with Pav up front , but think you need to sign another striker as well , as Gyan and Pavlyuchenko won't be enough. Possibly Welbeck?

Well, he's not popular amongst our lads, but i'd be happy with Bothroyd and N'Gog as the back up.

I don't want N'Gog, but i do appreciate there may be something there, i'd love to see Welbeck back, he's a fantastic talent, and his attitude is superb, sadly, i just can't see it happening.

Highly doubt we'll get Pav. Would need huge wages + huge fee. Plus I think he wants European footy.

I like Aduriz at Valencia personally, but with Gameiro going to PSG i guess he'll stay put.

Kanoute is still available on a free, surely he's worth a look?

Ah right , forgot about N'Gog.

    Kanoute is a free agent?

Now that would be a shrewd piece of business if you could get him. Proven in the EPL and a decent all round player.

I think so, he had injury trouble last season, but still averaged more than 1 in 2 in the games he played.

32, but still capable, and we need maybe 3 strikers, it's insane if we haven't at least looked at it.

Possibly got 1 or 2 good years left in him.

Off to bed lads , been good talking <ok>

Good to be able to discuss football with mackems as that seemed an impossible task with MR , Shameless and master-simpson.

    Night lads.

A pretty feeble attempt to cover up the fact you have made yoursef look a right prick.

Lets face it you were attempting a wind up but weren't quite bright enough to see what a balls up you would make of it.

    Mr blunderful I reckon
