...imagine being a QPR fan. So far they've had: 1) a 30-40% increase in season ticket prices 2) a fight for control in the boardroom 3) their only signings so far being Ramage and Helguson on new contracts 4) Routledge turn down their first offer 5) and now Taarabt is having a contract dispute and saying he's unhappy and wants to leave, with 40% of the transfer fee going to Tottenham. And if they don't let him go now he's got a get out clause for next summer. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896...rabt-ready-to-leave-qpr-over-contract-dispute
serves them right tbh, warnock and co deserves it. its what you get when you gamble everything on winning. warnock sacked, taraabt gone to a middle prem team and qpr bottom by xmas. im willing to wager on those. only fair tbh. EDIT: taraabt gone by jan.
If it's only a fight it's fairly quiet for their boardroom. It's not long ago they used guns to get contracts signed during a game.
Really hope QPR get hammered this season. Cant stand the club or Warnock. Think sonic is been generous of Taraabt been there till Jan, I reckon Newcastle, Sunderland or similar before end of July
It's all drama again at hayloft road innit geezer? Taarabt is a prize t**t and won't help the dressing room, Derry is the REAL captain, they just give the armband to sulky socks to keep him happy. I don't dislike Warnock like many of you, he's a good manager (at npc level) Routledge will want to play for a bigger team something like Everton I reckon, he's a better player than Taarabt anyway in my book; I mean "player". They'll do well to get 25 pts - and what a crying shame that will be!
have a work colleague who thinks they'll finish 9th, told him honestly think that they will probably be closer to the bottom of the League than the middle
Routledge couldn't make the team for newly promoted Newcastle, and has had a few bites of the cherry in the PL, even if with Palace* it was as a kid, which more established club is going to want him? *Is it Palace I should be thinking of for his first go?
Interesting point, I'd agree with the poster you quoted that he's a very good player and IMO as good as, if not better than Taraabt. But as you say, he's never quite cut it in the EPL. Maybe we could get him in January when he's failed up there again?
In the original post I forgot: 6) Missed out on their main striker target (Graham) to a fellow newly promoted club.
Everyone in the trade calls Neil Warnock Colin. So they can not all be wrong. Its one of them anagram things!
Apart from Derby, how many clubs in the Championship are better off now than they were at the end of last season? I don't think there are any, playing wise. You could argue that having appointed strong managers, West Ham and Forest probably are.
Certainly not Cardiff, replaced their manager and lost 5 of their front 6 for a combined fee of £1.5M, and replaced them with Gerrard returning from us. I think that sums up their progress so far.
reading this thread i'm clearly very much on my own in not disliking them. always seemed a decent enough club to me and enjoyed watching them in their days of sinclair, ferdinand, wilkins and impey. of course, as we all know there are quite a few dislikable characters there but don't most clubs?
I don't mind them, I've been using one of their forums for years now. I did laugh when I went on yesterday and the first advert I saw (provided by googleads) was for Blackburn Rovers season tickets at £225 for an adult. It was amusing enough that they were advertising another teams tickets, but after the fuss about their price increases this season it's just rubbing salt into the wounds.
