Not to tempt fate or anything, but are we now a pretty sure bet for finishing in the top four? 9 points ahead of Spurs (with a game in hand) and 14 ahead of Man Utd. Makes a great change from season's gone by when we struggled and had to secure a place in the top four on the final day. That again, shows progress and at the beginning of the season, that's what we all wanted. Also what a title race we have in prospect, four teams going for it in the final nine or so games.
I'm really enjoying this season. We've definitely improved on the last few years and the team now know how to win games, not just play pretty football. The win at the Lane was another one of those games that we would have chucked away not so long ago. I'd take another performance like that at Stamford Bridge next week, even if we have to out Chav the Chavs at their own park the bus tactics. Seeing Arsenal beat Mourinho in his own back yard would be even better than beating the Spuds at their ****hole I
I think we've been average for a couple of months yet still find ourselves in the middle of a title battle, 4th is the absolute worst we can finish from here, 4 points from Chelsea and M City and we'd be in with a real chance of the pot...
Completely agree. After the spurs game i can't see us not finishing in the top 4, now its about whether we can make a real bid for the title or not.
We have made progress, but on the flip side it could have been better, not starting the season by buying a new quality striker is a big negative and a big negative on Wenger's part, so there are still areas you can criticise for this season, we basically began the season by putting ourselves at a disadvantage, and that disadvantage has hurt us quite a few teams this season when we've seen how another proper world class CF would have helped us out in some situations.
