The Hull City AFC International group was started with the idea of bringing together fans of Hull City AFC from around the globe to try to show that Hull City's heritage and name should not be something that can be discarded on a whim, but should be heralded. It is an identity that maybe deemed unfashionable by some but is cherished by the fans of Hull City Association Football Club and it's 110yr history.
Please feel free to invite other Ex-Pats and overseas Tigers fans to join and share pictures, stories or just the gossip that surrounds the Club.

I am proud to support "No To Hull Tigers" and the "City Till We Die" campaign.

Well thats great. Maybe you could get some of your rich Carolina mates, sorry buddies, to pitch in and invest in City when the Allams stop investing or pull in the reins with City. The State legislature is giving some big tax breaks for investment to the likes of Boeing, but, maybe will not extend it for a soccer team the needs to raise its profile. Not sure they will though for a team who without additonal investment will possibly (but hopefully not) be playing the likes of Bury, which 90% no 99% of Carolinans have ever heard of as opposed to the likes of Man U and Chelsea-all for the sake of tradiition.

As you can guess mate wont be joining your group. And if all the bads things do come from the Allams not getting their way, then not sure how you and others, including me, will keep up with how the Tigers are doing let alone watch games every week on the internet, it will be back to the HDM only.

Be careful what you guys wish for across there in Carolina. Being a Tiger supporter at the moment is a bit like being like your famed Circadas-you only get to strut your stuff on a rare occasion (however they are more fortunate than the Tigers their offspring do get to have another go a few years later) . That occasion is now and like the Circadas it all well may go tits up just when the Tigers maybe get to strut their stuff in the FA Cup final and Europe next season.

A fellow American and keen City/Tiger Supporter.

That group represents the negative aspects of the campaign, and very nearly put me off the CTWD campaign all together.

I fail to see where the group has been the negative aspect of the CTWD campaign, but each to their own.

As for the Carolina username it is a hang up from my time living in NC. I now live in NJ but am from Hull originally.

However, WSTiger your rant shows a lack of knowledge on the whole name change situation.

Did not mean it to be a rant. Nor do I want to denigrate your post. But as you can guess I am a little peeved with the possiblity that we might lose alll we have at a point in our history that has not been bettered. Ambivalent about the name change, but, not about the chance of losing the best owner we have ever had who has put a load of money into the club and got us where we are-best manager, along with the best team, being in the PL and with a chance of an FA Cup Final. Dont want to give all that up in the future for the sake of a name change.

You guys that do seem oblivious to the consequences of not letting the owner get his own way. Dont think he is going to take it lightly. And when you get your wish and he is gone, will you still be shouting City Till We Die when we are in League 2, if so you are welcome to it.

And to reiterate nothing against North Carolina nor NJ. Well NC is red and NJ has Christie so that might go against those two great states.

Forgot to ask you Carolina please anwers this ? honestly. Would you rather go back to being in League 2 and all it means rather than have the name change?

Firstly, putting someone's name up on a site without their permission probably isn't the smartest thing to do, so if I was him I probably wouldn't be too happy.

Secondly, the bullying and coercion on that group towards anyone who tries to discuss an alternate point of view, coupled with numerous people suggesting that because someone has never been to or lived in Hull their view is somehow redundant is a massive turn off.

I do love the presumption that a lot of people have that we'll go straight down to League Two if the Allams leave.

I couldn't really give a **** about your group, but if you had an inkling of sense and had a look at my contributions on this site as well as other FB groups you would see that calling me a troll is just about the farthest thing from the truth. Proposing an alternate point of view, being called a ****ing moron, and then having the admin of a group chortle along with it is bound to get most people pretty fed up.

I don't think we will automatically go down if Mr Allam leaves in part because he can't just walk away.

As for us getting relegated there is no proof that we will get relegated if we don't change our name, just as there is no proof that changing our name will suddenly increase revenue flowing into the club.

But to be honest I would still be following the club if we did get relegated and just been able to watch us on the Telly is no basis to not want to save our club's name

Macca I will refrain from Hull City AFC talk

But Sydney be honest with yourself at least, you agreed with saving the name but would constantly cause trouble by claiming not to understand. Once is fine, twice is okay but the third, fourth, fifth and sixth time it happens makes it trolling to cause arguments for arguments sake.

As for me chortling at you getting called a moron, if the name fits!

Sorry if you dislike me, but life is to short to suffer fools as they say.

The one and only time I can think of an instance of that happening was me not understanding how a name change destroys the history of the club. I got a number of abusive responses, and then one person gave a sensible, reasoned response at which point I said "Oh ok I understand." and shut up. What a quality troll I must be..
