This may have been posted elsewhere but I thought it was an amusing take on events at HCAFC.... http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/sport...city-to-be-renamed-hull-dildoes-2014031884726
On twitter last night; @IanGarmston: Cottingham OSC tonight had a straw poll over the name change. There majority were IN FAVOUR of the name change! #utt #hcafc ... just saying
I think you have the essence of Allam's silent majority and that is his game-plan, to capitalise on the inherent apathy of football support in Hull. When all of this commenced and CTWD was formed, I joined CTWD and as I did then, as I still do now, believe that one unified voice, as large as possible, is essential to bring some form of limit to the owners reckless actions. My main concern was that, although necessary, the campaign might well be futile due to this disparate apathy and an added element of misguided fence-sitters. My concerns have not disappeared. If in doubt join CTWD.
Or people that sadly want to see Premier league football at any cost! I mean, how bad would life be not getting to see Stevie G and Frank Lampard play against city, ****ing over every pass they do! Weak!
Bloody hell, are the Poles even making our crow scarers redundant now? Cottingham OSC have always been unrepresentative.
Mr Allam should ask what ever he wants to ask in this mystery question. CTWD have no right to tell him what the question should be as they only represent a membership of under 2,000 . Hopefully Mr Allam will ask what he wants to ask.
Mr Allam only represents two people as far as I can tell, and the other one is his son. Nobody is telling him what to ask. It's simply a request. He is under no obligation to take any notice if he so chooses. However I think the two questions proposed by CTWD are entirely appropriate and would yield the clearest, least ambiguous, results.
I hope it's A ..HULL CITY B .. HULL TIGERS. I will vote A I have never met anyone who prefers Hull Tigers .
You really go out of your way to be a twat don't you. It is obvious from last nights HDM that the Allam family are going to make the vote a personal issue. Vote yes we're off club for sale vote no we fight the FA till we get our way. The only people putting the club at risk are the Allams.
What the f,,k are you on about. CTWD are not telling Allam anything. They never have. They asked him for a ballot right at the start of this bloody farce and he said it wasn't necessary. They met him face to face and he lied to them. Now he is losing his case, he now wants a ballot even though the result of it will be known after the cut off date. All they are saying is if you have a ballot him, Allam, should play fair and word it so that there is a clear cut question. Its not rocket science ffs.
Tiger40 It's up to Assem Allam what he asks . Not you . Not CTWD ..Not Me The no to HULL TIGERS will piss it anyway.
I never said it was. Just trying to explain why they did post their suggestion that's all. You, like me, are on the same side, lets not fall out eh?
The FA aren't going to change their minds, and if the Allam's intend to drag this on through the courts it will cause all sorts of problems. There is hardly any merchandise in the club shop, presumably because they want to rebrand everything. The shirts for next season can't be ordered because we don't know what's going to be on them. Passes for next season could be going on sale next month, but there are some who won't buy until its confirmed what we will be called. This whole sorry mess is costing the club money, they have the opportunity to end it now and get back to a great season on the pitch.
Filey, the concern is that the vote could be as you put, but Allam could say he'll leave if the name change is rejected. The additional suggestion from CTWD provides an opportunity to keep our name AND the chairman.
I never fall out with any one Mr Tigers40. Plenty of the not bothereds would vote no if given the chance ..I really have never met one person who would choose HULL Tigers in a vote. If AA asks a loaded question it will blow up on him. Name change is dead...what ever AA thinks or asks or says .
