Good win, with strong team out. Interesting that Chambers played centre back, could he be the answer to one of our problem positions and allow Clyne more games... Clyne Chambers Lovren Shaw could be the starting back 4 next season.

This is what Martin Keown was saying should happen the other day, and he's a good judge of someone's ability to play in that position if anyone is. Who knows?...

Interesting...trialling Chambers at CB. I think he's played there before, but we desperately need another CB this season.

The u21 and u18 teams seem to have picked up the pace...they have had a rather mixed season, but have started getting wins lately.

The only trouble I would see with chambers at CB is it would be a waste of his attacking potential.

I think Chambers might turn out to be one of those outfield players who can play almost anywhere providing it is central or right sided. From my research he's supposed to be another quality academy midfielder, who dropped back into central defence to see if he was good there as well. He was, but then he tried his game at RB, and he was just as good. All he needs is a long throw on him and the ability to score. I wouldn't put that past him either.

And he's worth way more than £10M already.

He also played CB for England U19s the other night. A back line of Clyne, Chambers, Lovren, Shaw is pretty mouth-watering

Still think we will go and buy a cb. Chambers probably only played there as Stephens is off on loan.

Chambers is only about 5"10, I'd worry about his aerial prowess if up against players such as Lambert, Carroll, Drogba, Ibrahimovic etc...

He's 6'0" according to the OS, but I take your point.

Actually 6' tall, but I agree should play alongside a dominant centre back. About the same stature as Malcom Waldren.

This is as close to a pacy centre back as we're going to get, isn't it.

The heights lie. Apparently Shaw and Yoshida are both 6 foot!

Maya is 6'2". Shaw is actually 6'1". What are they feeding him..? That's straight off the OS. Save guessing - get all the team details here: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/team/

Cannavaro is only 5"9. Didn't stop him being one of the best centre backs of all time

Cannavaro did ok, heading can be about the leap and timing, as well as a bit of Italian cynicism!
