Turns out I (only) have 11 shirts. I actually stopped buying them ages ago but my kids took it upon themselves to buy me on for my birthday every year, bless 'em. I had to beg them not to buy me this year's shirt! Instead they bought me an England shirt with Lambert on the back. Nice. My favourite, and the only one I don't wear as pyjamas, is the yellow away shirt from a couple of years ago. Very classy and nostalgic because of '76. Personally, I would like to see everyone wear yellow whenever we play Man Utd. I always wear the yellow scarf I wore to the Cup Final. It is special because on the way back down Wembley Way a Utd fan ripped it off me and I had to have a little fisticuffs to get it back. This was a tad scary as we were outnumbered by about 2 to 1 and we were in a sea of red and white at the time. With hindsight, a very stupid thing to do but I still have the scarf! The Utd fan is probably a fat old git on welfare by now
Not really memorabilia, but years & years ago I bought my dad a little Matt Le Tiss figure, that immediately took pride of place on top of his TV. Saints won their next couple of games after that - & then lost the game in which little Matt had fallen off the TV. My dad took this as a sign & glued the little man to the TV. Probably explains Saints' 100% win record ever since.
Not really a memorabilia thing and may have been mentioned elsewhere but the official store is doing end of season sale so most of the 13/14 gear is 50% off. Everything we buy gets us closer to paying to keep other clubs away from our players and helps bring a little smile to Ralph Kruegers face.
You'd have to pay me to buy this seasons ****e. Also please tell me why i should care about bringig a smile to a millionaires face? He looks happy enough to me.
I have loads of signed shirts collected over the years, but my favourite is the shirt from the Championship promotion year it is signed and says: "To Mark, I took you to the Premier League! Rickie Lambert 7" I think it's Priceless
Pretty sure these aren't worth much, but these are my favourite pieces: - Signed 1988/89 away shirt - signed by squad including Le Tiss, Flowers, Shearer, R Wallace, Ruddock, Cockerill, Benali etc (won as a prize) - Luton v Southampton programme -signed by Danny, Rod and Ray Wallace. They also posed for a picture with me before the game
