Well he won 2 trophies in Germany, and got to the CL final in 2009, so he's had success as a club manager fairly recently, since then he has been managing Holland. So id hardly say there is any proof to suggest he is out dated, or past it

That is a fairly daft way of looking at things. It is his 2nd spell with Holland, and he was still a success as a club manager after his first spell with them

There is nothing in that report to say that Untd have contacted Van Gaal!! It simply suggests that Louis van Gaal would be interested in a potential summer move to Old Trafford.
