[h=1]David Moyes defiant over Manchester United future[/h]
Manchester United boss David Moyes says he is not concerned about his future at the club despite his team's struggles so far this season.
The Old Trafford club are seventh in the league, while they trailOlympiakos 2-0 going into Wednesday's second leg of their last-16 Champions League tie.
"My future has not changed one bit," said Moyes. "I have a great job.
"I have a six-year contract. This club does not work on short-term vision, it works on a long-term vision."

When will Man Utd win the title again?

Moyes took over from Sir Alex Ferguson last summer but has struggled to continue the success his predecessor enjoyed in his 26 years in charge of the club.
Ferguson won 13 league titles and two Champions League trophies.
But, in defence of their top-flight title, United are currently 18 points off leaders Chelsea after being comfortably beaten 3-0 by fierce rivals Liverpool on Sunday.
"I speak with him [Ferguson] regularly and when he is at the games," said Moyes.
"He has been very supportive. He told me it would be a difficult job before I came in, but he and [vice-chairman] Ed [Woodward] are very supportive."
United are also 12 points off the top-four spot needed to qualify for next season's Champions League and their best chance of booking a place in European football's top competition appears to be by winning this year's tournament.
However, they will have to overturn a 2-0 deficit against Olympiakos on Wednesday at Old Trafford, where they have won just six of their 14 home league games and lost five.
"I was looking back, it's only twice Manchester United have done it [come back from two goals down], I think 1984 is the most recent one," said the Scot.
"It's not something that happens a lot but it's something we believe we have to make happen.
"I see the players every day, the qualities they show me. I think they know they can play better, I don't think any of them are questioning that.
"I've got belief in the players. We'll try and make that happen on Wednesday."
He added: "The fans have seen some defeats they would not have expected and they have stuck with the team.
"They have seen great success and will see great success in the future. This club is the biggest in the world and it will rise again."

That is the sort of **** that doing my head. Stop making excuses before we kick a ball. It's so uninspiring <grr>

However, this is more like it :

This club is the biggest in the world and it will rise again

Well he won 2 trophies in Germany, and got to the CL final in 2009, so he's had success as a club manager fairly recently, since then he has been managing Holland. So id hardly say there is any proof to suggest he is out dated, or past it

That is a fairly daft way of looking at things. It is his 2nd spell with Holland, and he was still a success as a club manager after his first spell with them:biggrin:

We've not reached that stage yet.

We're still only holding hands and listening to Boyzone songs together.

It just feels so right though <ok> I might have to give Tobes his beads back.

There is nothing in that report to say that Untd have contacted Van Gaal!!
It simply suggests that Louis van Gaal would be interested in a potential summer move to Old Trafford.
In the same way, whilst I myself would like to replace Moyes and laugh all the way to the bank, I can safely declare that Untd have definitely not approached me for the job:biggrin:

It seems that the penny has dropped and you have finally seen the light after all your support for Moyes! Join the club!!

I wouldn't class Matth as a winner personally. Well that of course depends on what type of competition he may enter.
