'Monster' Zamora can help fire QPR to promotion Mar 17, 2014 08:23 By Jacob Murtagh 0 Comments 5 Shares Team-mate Onuoha says frontman is fit and raring to go for the run in Bobby Zamora is a 'monster' to play against who has provided a timely boost to QPR's promotion hopes, says team-mate Nedum Onuoha. The former Fulham frontman came off the bench to help seal victory over Yeovil on Saturday - his first goal of the campaign. And with top scorer Charlie Austin still sidelined and Kevin Doyle also struggling though injury, Zamora could have a big part to play in the run in. âBobbyâs not really been anywhere. Heâs just not been selected for whatever reason," said Onuoha. "But heâs motivated and he wants to do the same as everyone else - be promoted. âHeâs been away for a while, but this is the perfect time for him and heâs something different. Heâs a full England international so it can only be good for us. âHe was getting some grief earlier in the season. But whenever Iâve been against him in my career heâs been an absolute monster. Iâm glad heâs back in now and managed to put a few of the doubters quiet. âWhen he first came here he was a big reason why we stayed up that season. To have him back and the way he played was fantastic. âHe was fired up and lively, but thatâs what happens when you give him the opportunity. He is healthy now. "Having played with him for over two years now thatâs what I expect from him and thatâs what he expects from himself. If he dips below that heâs the first person to admit that.
I actually think BZ is our answer. He's no Charlie Austin but he is the best option we have now and he seems to be in good form. He also has good relationships with the rest of the squad. His return is definitely a boost. One gets the impression that he's feeling better than he has done in a long while.
I sincerely hope that BZ plays really well for the remainder of the season. My biggest problem with him is that I've never rated him as anything other than very average. Quite happy for him to prove me wrong!
Get behind him and he just may play well for us... Never been great IMO but certainly a handfull to play against. Should be good enough for the NPC ?
It does make me laugh, time and time again A PLAYER (any team in the land) scores a goal after months and months of firing blanks then all of a sudden his the new messiah
Oh just **** off with the bullshit PR just cause he scores a goal that my gran could have scored!. He still needs hip surgery!. Score 5 more and then we can talk
Got off that fence mate...... Dont suppose your gran is free tonight then... EDIT: To play the game obviously....
