Apart from his ability to get yellow and red cards, does he give us anything else ?? Looking more like a liability than an asset.

Become a massive liability. Definitely looking one worthy of the chop. His pace is no longer a useful asset. Even when we win I still do not appreciate his footballing abilty.

You could move Luise forward but who else do you have to replace him? Lampard is the obvious choice but he is near the end, Obi Mikel, not really good enough, drop Oscar back? hope Van Ginkel will return as good or better. Who would be your choice?

I really liked the look of the Luiz/Matic combo when we beat City but i think Luiz has been injured since then??

Luiz is as good on the ball as anybody in our squad IMO.

Would agree here, luiz is the man to partner Matic for the rest of the season (sorry about the earlier spelling) but i think Van Ginkel could be next seasons first choice in this possition.

Be a travesty if he gets the nod for Brazil World Cup in front of Fernandinho

I'm of the same opinion! I posted something on here about him trying to set a yellow card record! He obviously enjoys an early bath!

In a 433 he's ideal but hopeless in other formations.

For versatility I'd have Fernandinho, but Ramires is better defensively and going forward in a 4-3-3 IMO, and that's the formation Scolari seems to opt for.

He's had a truly awful season. If he's not diving he's getting booked.

He's supposed to be our player who creates things going forward but can't control or pass the ball to save his life.

Oscar and Willian did little for the time they were on either. Schurrle and Salah need to be used more, poor officiating and two many passes instead of getting shots off is what cost us. Plus our strikers were inept again when we needed them.

No, he's rubbish. Not as bad as Luiz by a long shot though.

He sure is, but Jose has made him the new Mata. He will do well at Barca, especially when Brendon Rogers takes over as manager.

Ramires has had many good games for us in 4231 and some great games for us at 433.

What does he give us? Lots of energy in CM compared to Frank and Mikel that's for sure.

We need a ball-playing CM but Ramires is a great squad/first team player despite his poor passing and recklessness.

Leave turning on players after a bad game to hysterical Sun tabloid readers.

We will miss him during his stupid threematch ban. It may contribute to us not winning the league

Great reply. Ramires hasn't had a great season but he was one of our best players in the cup double winning side, scoring in the nou camp and fa cup final. I like the player but he is reckless and has these heads gone moments a couple of times a season. Shame really as in the 94th minute the game was done and now we'll miss him for 3 league games.

I think he is lost a little bit in this system though as he is neither a brilliant defensive mid nor a brilliant distributer of the ball so doesn't quite fit the roles needed for our 2 man midfield. I'd probably still have him and matic as our first choice centre mid pair at the moment though (maybe Luiz - who also can be a disciplinary liability).

    This^

Luiz has had a couple of reckless stinkers in CM too, giving the ball away with Hollywood passes. When Luis has played 20 or some games in CM only then we can judge him

he really is an infuriating player
One minute he is a match winner the next a liability
if he could just stop from making such rash challenges

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Ramires doesn't have the technical ability to play for a club like Chelsea. Just being athletic isn't enough anymore, the game is a lot more technical nowadays. He's still living off of his one good season he had for us. Hopefully he leaves this summer.

He is not ideal in CM/4231. But he offers something different to Lamps/Mikel in the current squad until Luiz, Van Ginkel, new purchase steps up

Hope people see the point of Ramires. As a destroyer at least.

Sneijder did not get a look in

Really? Thought he was poor in possession as per usual yesterday.

Ramires is a good asset, he's having a shocking season though.
