Happy Ides of March Day

It is a beautiful day here in Mallorca and it doesn't appear to be so bad over the South Coast either. Since the weather is so fabulous I thought I would send you all greetings as today is March 15th and a very special day for me!!! Of course things would be very special if Southampton can get another win and Ireland can stuff France in the Six Nations. It would be a fantastic way for Brian O'Driscoll to bow out!! Enjoy a wonderful day folks because it will never come around again.

I had to cancel my first holiday in Majorca last year through illness, but have just rebooked a few days in Peurto de Pollensa in June (carefully selected for a peaceful holiday with a bit of walking)...please don't tell me it is a hub of teenage nightlife

 

And hopefully our manager and players will take note of Caesar's words just before he received the warning about the Ides of March:

"Who is it in the press that calls on me?
I hear a tongue shriller than all the music"

 

Many years since I went there Fran, but it was beautiful back then.

 

It is a wonderful location Frans on the north side of the island. A few km away there is the town of Pollensa where they have a wonderful market on Sunday. There are plenty of good walking treks both there and on the Al Canada headland, but perhaps the most interesting one is is numbered 221 on goes from the South West to the north side. You have chosen a good time to come to the Island, just a few weeks before the high season. The weather should be beautiful as well. Glad that you have recovered your health.

PS: It isn't my birthday, just a name I chose based on Massimo Manfredo's wonderful historical fiction of the same name!!

I'm off to Mallorca at the end of May! I want to take a Saints shirt but I don't think I'll be allowed by the missus.

Well as soon as I'm poolside top is off and Saints tattoo is out anyway, so maybe i'll keep her sweet and leave the polyester shirt at home.

 

I thought I was the only Saint in the village!! Will you be here for the Spurs game Ides, I'm gonna watch in a bar in Palma as it's on Sky.

 

Well there´s two of us!! I don´t think so - as I will be out walking with my great friend and as much as I love Southampton, her company is much more preferrable!!
