Good effort against a world class team (even with 10 men). The only criticism of our game is we depend too much on crosses. Top class defenders will set themselves and deal with most long balls into the box.
Interesting - do you not consider we should have wanted it because we are in a relegation battle? I think the impact of Jelavic and Long has hidden rather the fact that our midfield has dropped off a lot since Christmas - Thudd is barely above walking pace. We had better want it in the next 4 games as all the other teams we are playing certainly will.
if Man C were around us in the league instead of being way above us, then I can see your point. The cream always floats to the top of the bottle of piss anyhow.
Some really stupid comments on the Facebook page. Disappointing but they're such a classy side it shouldn't surprise us. Offsides frustrating but Man City held a very tight and organised defensive line. We're getting the ball in and chances are we'll hurt the likes of West Brom next weekend.
Its no disgrace to lose to Man City though I must say I thought a lot of their players looked a bit overweight and podgy !!
Thudd was far too deep, he was the deepest player on the pitch for much of the second half, behind Chezzy and Davies
Christ that's shocking but if Boyd spat at him he deserved it. I really hope that's not true. Our fans are pathetic. We lost to Man City cos they're a good side. Stop looking for people to blame. We're having a wonderful season.
Even if Boyd did spit at him both should have been sent off and that would of opened it up even more. At 1-0 down the referee didn't give a blatant penalty for us, it was a strange refs performance overall. I don't get the Huddlestone hate, there was no movement wide of him, no movement up front and Livermore barely made a run, what is Huddlestone supposed to do with the ball if no-one's making runs?
Think George Boyd can expect a hefty ban and fine. The ref didn't book him so the FA can get him on video evidence, and unfortunately that shows him spitting. Must now wait for the referees report.
We lost so it's mandatory that people moan about Huddlestone. Someone will be along shortly to say that Meyler was woeful too. So predictable. Oh and Elmo's crossing is **** and Chester hasn't been his usual self. And Bruce has got no plan B. It couldn't possibly be that Man City are a good side.
I don't see much hate for Huddlestone , although seeing him today against real world class players like Silva puts his ability into context
Spot on PLT. I can't remember Huddlestone misplacing a pass all game. He had no movement around him in CMF. Livermore was anonymous. Aluko ran sideways most of the time. Man City just had far better movement in the final third.
People expect too much of Huddlestone. All this Huddlestone for England cobblers has clouded your judgement. He played well today. He was just too deep to do anything really meaningful. Other players were worse than him, but everything he does gets scrutinised. Unless we win and then he's ****in brilliant again. What we need to work on his staying onside, crossing from both sides and shooting. Boyd was a disgrace for spitting. Man city deserved it.
That actually doesn't look as bad as I expected. He seems to just be shouting for a pen by the end of the clip. It isn't clear enough. A better quality picture will show it better but sounds like he's guilty as ****.
