I love to have a small wager on the football at weekend, i keep the the stakes low(£2 -£5), but i'm only really interested in winning a large amount of coin, so it's always an accumulator for me.

The reason i'm thinking about this is, for the last four Saturdays, iv'e been just one or two results away from winning a very tidy sum. One away from winning £1700, one off £550, two results let me down for a grand.

The biggest sad, was being one result away from winning(guaranteed odds) £10,500 for a quid, but that was a few years ago.

I don't mind losing a fiver of a weekend, it's just a bit of fun, and i don't expect to win.

Does anyone else have a similar sob story ? or maybe you even won ? Talk about football betting basically <ok>

Yes, I did a 14 fold on a £5 free bet to return £2400 the day Mancheter Ushited lost at home to west Brom. They were the only team to let me down, ****ing spastics.

I also had a crazy punt at the start of last season for 50p to return somewhere around £65000, it was more than a thirty fold, somewhere between 30 - 35 selections across football, tennis and darts (which I know **** all about).

Everything won just waiting on the evening non league fixtures where all 3 conference teams lost, Grimsby were one of them, and they were all 3 huge favourites.

Only a fourfold for £30 earlier this week - Barca, Wigan, Burnley, PSG - But they were all coming in until Burnley conceded against Birmingham to make it 3-3 in the 94th minute <grr>

Once had a ten fold on a good few years ago. Would of been £1300. Rangers lost at home to Hiberian 0-3. Buggar

Also 2 weeks ago same thing. 9 out of 10. Blackburn lost 4-0 at Bolton £2045 for a £2 stake. Not always easy eh:emoticon-0106-cryin

I usually stick a fiver on 4 home sides. Had a few £100 quid wins.

Last season Norwich scored a last minute equaliser at White Heart Lane and cost me £600.

My lad was let down by Bayern Munich in the week, he was fuming when they missed the pen in injury time.

I tend to bet small to win small, couple of quid on a four or five team accumulator.

Collected £500 earlier in the season on Stu Gray getting the Weds job, but I did have some excellent info as a guide.

Surely City at 11/2 is worth a fiver.

I had Curtis Davies for 1st goals scorer against Sunland only 18/1.

Just looked for tomorrow he's 33's a lot of places. Thats good value.

I tried to put a join up bet on with Bwin for Sunland, offering a £30 bet with Davies at 9/1 for first goal scorer. It wouldn't let me take the offer on my ip location, I was fuming.

On the other side of the coin, I remember being at Leeds festival our first season in the prem and we were away to Blackburn. We got the shuttle bus to a shopping centre to buy dry clothes and the bloke in the ladbrokes wouldn't let me go for a piss until I bet, so I shoved a fiver on a 2-2 just to keep him happy and it came through the next day. Best piss I've ever taken.

i do alright with accas although i stick to yank sports. £200 5 fold just got let down tonight .
the odds of winning a £4 500/1 14 folds just seem too high to me to bother but i guess you don't lose much.

Tomorrow I've put Soton, fleetwood, lille to win and madrid game, scunny and dundee untd game all +2.5

I usually do a five pound accumulator every Saturday but haven't won in ages. Had a couple of decent wins in the past (£400 and £600) but do you remember when Grimsby beat Liverpool at Anfield in the League cup about ten years ago? That let me down for a grand. Bah.
