If Vic is out why not give reed and jp a game?

According to the prematch conference, Vic has had a knock and is being assessed. Do we know he is certainly out?

Right. Disappointing news that Wanyama is still struggling with injuries. We are such a mid table team that it doesn't matter in terms of league position, but he could have done with getting a run of games under his belt again.
But, in the light of this bad news, springs opportunity. Time for Reed's first PL start?

I would have liked to start Gaston in place of Davis but if Reed were to start, I'd play Davis. Otherwise Schneiderlin and Davis as the DM's and bring Gaston in as the CAM.

Bench: Gazza, Yoshida, Chambers, Gaston, Lambert, JWP, Guly

I'm also torn between giving Reed a start and moving Davis back so Ramirez can get a reward for his recent improvement.

I would play Davis next to Schneiderlin, with Gaston further forward.

Just saw on Twitter that Wanyama is injured again. Bring Gaston in and move Davis into the middle, or bring JWP back into the team.

    Bloody Wanyama.

Shame for Victor because he had a decent game at Palace, certainly defensively. To have both him and Corky out is really unfortunate.

Okay, so I'd say that we go with...

Boruc; Clyne, Fonte, Lovren, Shaw; Schneiderlin, S. Davis; Gastón, Lallana, Rodriguez; Lambert.

I think the fact that Reed and Gallagher are starting for the U21s today means they aren't starting for the first team tomorrow. With that in mind, DTLW team looks about right.

Ralph Krueger has written a letter/message to the fans in tomorrow's programme, if anyone fancies posting what he said on here - it'd be appreciated.

So we would have zero attacking options on the bench?

    I think you're forgetting Guly. :)

    My bench would be:

Gazzaniga, Chambers, Yoshida, Ward-Prowse, Reed, Do Prado, Gallagher.

How could I forget the prolific Guly?! :cheesy:

Would we expect Gallagher to be on the bench if he's starting for the U21s though?

Not starting doesn't mean they can't be on the bench, does it?

I'd certainly have both Gallagher and Reed on the bench tomorrow, U21 duty today or not. I just think that indicates they won't start the game.

Gallagher came off at half time, so I expect him to be on the bench.

Think JWP, Davis & Morgan will form the midfield three

Gazzaniga, Clyne, Yoshida, Gallagher, Ramirez, Guly, Reed on the bench. Though I'd like to see Sims, but not sure if he would be pushed ahead of others

How about Chambers being pushed up alongside Schneiderlin?
