3 games in 8 days at the end of the season, now that re-arranged games have been confirmed. Dates for Man City and West Brom fixtures. Sunderland AFCâs postponed Barclays Premier League fixtures against Manchester City and West Bromwich Albion have now been re-arranged. Gus Poyetâs side will travel to the Ethiad Stadium on Wednesday 16 April, following the postponement of the original fixture due to severe weather issues. The re-scheduled game will kick off at 7:45pm. All tickets purchased for the original fixture remain valid. Sunderland will welcome the Baggies to the Stadium of Light on Wednesday 7 May, at 7:45pm.
Cardiff 27th April, WBA 7th May, Swansea 11th May. If we have kept in touch by then we can make it. Saturday is a MUST win. Its going to be tough but we can do it.
3 home games in close proximity (intersected by an easy away trip!) to finish the season. I don't know if I like that - Hope we've managed a few wins before coming up against Cardiff as I really want less pressure on coming towards the end of the season. Remainders: Palace (H) Norwich (A) Liverpool (A) West Ham (H) Spurs (A) Everton (H) Man City (A) Chelsea (A) Cardiff (H) Man Utd (A) WBA (H) Swansea (H) When you look you think: Palace, Norwich, West Ham, Cardiff and West Brom. That should be the 5 games! Hope it works like that. We may surprise a few and beat Everton like we did earlier in the season. We need to make sure we go into the last week of the season with the outcome only in our hands and not relying on others. Who knows. There are definitely 6 games we should be looking to win including Swansea and the 5 above. I hate this point in a season like this
If we won at Hull it would of been 4 games in 8 days & thats why I said Poyet tossed that cup game away. hopefully a win tomorr will put me in a better mood.
Lets start with a win tomorrow and kick on. I don't think losing at Hull will be forgotten, but our league position is far more important than a second or third visit to the white elephant.
Might have a point there like. Can't believe he would toss a game but in a way I'm sort of pleased we lost.
a hypothetical question... but if you could go down this season and come straight back up next season, would you be that bothered? don't shoot the messenger
Only thing that would bother me is we'd definitely miss out on Borini, Ki and Alonso and that might happen anyway Not sure what missing out on the premier league would do to us anyway.. people would say good players, but we've been in the division for roughly 7 years and we still don't have a good team, Southampton have just come up but are so much better than us A season in the championship would allow Poyet to blood some of the younger players, including Wickham, and give him a chance to build a team to suit his style Personally I'd get to more games and the tickets would be much cheaper That being said obviously I'd prefer it if we stayed up, but it wouldn't be such a disaster if we went down
I remember reading an article a while back and financially it would cost around £80m if we were relegated. That's made up from TV money, lost gate receipts, merchandise, etc, etc.
Certainly no, some tems do ride out the yo-yo, such as West Ham, Newcastle and others bomb right out; Portsmouth, Leeds, Bradford etc As you know it's a long hard season and a difficult league to get out of. No, there is only one objective and we have to play with the passion today as if our Premier League survival depended upon it.
This and only this.we can't go down there is so much at stake for our future.we really can't afford to rebuild from scratch again.i know we will have some big changes in personnel next season but we need to keep some of our better players.
