sorry you've missed me for a week or so but not been able to post much lately. i loaded up the software from a kettner robot i'm commisioning and it f'd the laptop i'm using at the.....well that dont matter & you dont care. i could explain it but half of you wouldnt understand and the others wouldnt be ableto read the "big words".. Anyway, great win for you guys the other night and the run just seems to carry on. I'l hold of on the congratulations until confirmed though. As for starting a promotion thread, well Its a bit arrogant TBH ESP from a mod; and i only hope that you dont pay the price for it. Its stuff like that by idiots from our support that turned people against our club amongst other things. Dont do what we did or become what some of our ******s became. Its your board so you obviously do what you like, im just a guest Anyway, im watching with intrest and loks like you've got the break you needed in the Burnley game. You haveto realise that your other QPR posters are concerned about making up the 10 point gap to Burnley (7 points if you win your game in hand), the same will go for Derby who are also hoping to pip Burnley. Therefore, both you guys and Derby are not even contemplating going above us, ergo "Promotion Thread" Even if we won 5, lost 6 of the last 11, QPR or Derby would haveto win EVERY game to go above us. Its not a Champions thread, as Burnley certainly could catch us, but i think that alot of posters just can't see us going on a bad run after 3 3-0 victories, but as you've seen in 1884's thread, we aren't all saying we are promoted yet.

I'm certainly taking nothing for granted .... been around far too long for that ... but think about the logical likelihood in the remaining games for a minute ... we are now on a 3 game winning streak, each by 3 goals, conceding none ... and we are now the division's top scorers by 5 goals from Derby (who have played a game more) ... What's more likely ... that we now collapse (incredibly to lose an automatic spot) ... or that we continue our unbeaten run playing to form? ... now if I was looking at another team beside LCFC (and therefore my personal fears and indeed bias) I'd be thinking that this 'form team' is going to carry on banging them in and putting opposition to the sword ... Some of ours are merely expressing those thoughts... personally, I don't think that makes them arrogant ... more just saying it as it is ... (but i won't tempt fate until the math works)
I've been talking to a mate of mine, who's a Birmingham fan, and he thinks it's pretty much all over bar the shouting for us. As to who is going to make the other promoted side, it's looking like Burnley, 'Cos me and him can't see any other of the chasing pack getting to them, unless Wigan go on an extraordinary run, which they're more than capable of doing. I think QPR need to look long and hard over their shoulder at Wigan, because if QPR's recent form is anything to go by, they're in trouble. Florist will get their 9 players back from injury soon and start winning again and that only leaves Reading and Derby to fight over the last 3 places with Wigan and QPR. But even I'm beginning to believe that the Large Lady is very definitely warming her tonsils up

Firstly, let me complement you on your sig. Love that film.. Next,im sur eyou do mate, just at a time like this i'm supprised more on your board arent "happy go lucky" and can go with the flow, as oppossed to getting the hump with everything. barring extreme circumstances, you'll go up, prob as champions too so its just common curteousy not to "Give it Large" IMHO. but thats just the way i was raised. We, like yourselves have our share of t**sers in our fan base and most of those are still licking thier wounds now. hopefully your management will get the team right and you'll "Do a Swansea" not a "QPR". like i said, i'll hold of on the congrats until its confirmed.
I'm pretty certain there is no chance of us "doing a QPR" in regards to transfer activity thats for sure!!!! and in regards to getting relegated, hopefully not. It will be tough but I think we will be ok. fingers crossed!!
Queenie haven't your realised we only "give it large" to you. QPR fans seem to think there a big club for some reason and they have a god given right to steamroller everyone. Other teams just get "lucky" when they win and god forbid anyone beats QPR
Hold on Hold on...I have never (seriously) said to anyione here that we are a bigger club than anybody. we had some "glory years" in the past but in truth we're a top of the champ to bottom half of the prem team forrest, derby, Brum are all bigger teams than us. know that and that why i never say it. i may have said it in jest before during a wind up of as a piss take but i aint that stupid. You are right, we do have some t**sers in our ranks who believe that but i think i pointed that outin my post didnt I? just to piss on your parade a bit....the year we last got promoted, we went up a champs but there are many QPR fans that will admit that we were not the best team, myself included. We had a player that could take the piss out of most of the NPC and a team directed to 'molly coddle" him and pander to his every need. So yes we won the champinship by ammassing the most points but we were not the best team that year in many peoples eyes. just a team that found a way to get more than others! Anyway, back to the point, i think if you look back you'll find i havent called you lot lucky (seriously) and it seems like you have reen drawn into the press and media hype that surrounds the likes of Redknapp & Barton etc. Large sections of fans wanted neither but as the Sun newspapers tensds to run football in England...plenty of sheep bought into the whole circus. i personally think that we should have been rebuilding this year (& maybe next) with our younger more intrested players and getting some others in to support the half a dozen decnt ones we have. Throw in a bit of experience and look to make some sort of meaningfull attempt at promotion over the next 2 years. New if others can take thier heads out of thier arses and actually ask QPR fans what they think, then i think you may find there are plenty more like me out there. Sure there are a few idiots, but your club has them as well, as do all clubs. We have the busiest board on here and welcome all posters from other teams. Some are suprised that we are not the arrogant little twats hat you find on other QPR boards. Maybe you should read some more of our posts and threads before making such an ill informed sweeping judgement Proud. It might open your eye a bit. I've posted half a dozen threads over here and they are still running weeks later. that says to me you are either bored or....? in all seriousness, i've openly said you'll go up prob as champs. Does that sound like someone who thinks we are bigger than you, better than you and should be steamrollering you? or does it sound like you read the Sun? You seem a smart bloke, you tell me? , i did actually stop posting on here as it appears andy could start a fight in an empty room, so i just decided i wasnt worth it. But i read most clubs boards from this division & the prem. mainly as i have a lot of spare time at work. (apparently im a Tech or software writer or something )
That has not "pissed on my parade" at all, in fact, it's made me feel quite good. Basically, you are saying that you won the league as a one-man team. I can tell you, we are anything but. We have some good players, a great team, goals shared all over the pitch, everyone works for eachother, a young hungry squad who have been through a lot together. Now I'm not saying this means we are going to stay up next season. Who knows what will happen? All I know is, I hope to God that we don't adopt the approach DQPR took in your embarrasing 2 years in the Premiership. We tried that in the Championship with Sven, and look where that got us. Not only would our owners have learnt that the "lets throw money at it and see what sticks" approach doesn't necessarily work in football, but we have a very good, sensible manager with a great scouting network who have the ability to unearth some gems (see Knockaert, Mahrez), who don't just throw money around for the sake of it, just because it's there. It would be nice to adopt the Swansea/Norwich approach, and in a few years time, another team in the Championship will be saying "I hope we take the Leicester approach when we go up".
What was your point? Do you even have a point on this board? From the point I quoted... You said that when you won the league, you weren't the best "team", and implied (by saying "just to piss on your parade") that even though we may win it, we aren't the best team (as you have tried to say before). I replied, saying that I think we are the best team, and hope we don't adopt your PL strategy when we are there.
