Bucks, we need to discuss the new project!!!BRB probably stole it. Filthy pikey![]()
Rumours were rife after last night, five players went on the piss after the Bolton game and as a disciplinary measure were dropped last night. Figure them out Jock from our absentees. If its true, McD has no authority or respect left with the players and for that reason alone is wasting his timeAfternoon all.
First of all, best wishes to you, Leeds60. Every fortnight?? Boy, you've got grit! How much longer do you expect this to go on? Hope Mrs 60 gets well soon too.
Now to business. I left at 3-0 down last night. Never done that in my life, but for once good sense descended on me, before the real red mist did. I would probably be in the jail if I'd stayed. Seen more style & commitment on a primary school team. I was hoping Gary McAllister would come back as our defensive coach. He couldn't organise a defence to save himself, but even his defences weren't as leaky as this one!
I've been thinking about this business of sacking BM, and I'm really not sure if it would be the right thing to do. I really do believe that it runs deeper than that, and I think the players should be taking a huge part of the blame. Funny how they can sometimes get it together to play like world beaters, then without warning, revert to type & resort to non-league hoofball. Heard something very interesting on the radio commentary on the way home last night. I've always been a critic of Lees' distribution. He either hoofs it forward, or passes back to the keeper. The commentator mentioned this too, but instead of blaming Lees, he blamed the midfield for not coming short to look for the ball, hence the need for hoof when pressed. I apologise to Lees. I now realise that there has been a pattern as described, and it's our midfield that haven't been supporting our defence, isolating them. I think this guy might have just put his finger on the real root cause of our troubles - a midfield that hides and does not take responsibility. I'd get rid of the lot of them - including Mowatt (whose inexperience really showed on Tuesday night - he was targeted by Reading & couldn't cope). I'm not saying our defence is blameless, but hey!, there is a serious problem there with midfield. We only seem to blame them (rightly) for not providing good ball for the forwards. I've now realised it's worse than that - they don't want the ball at all !!
Thoughts?
Morning mr60, hope its all going well buddy![]()
Agree with you about Lees, never ever rated him.
For Burnley I'd have to go with the back line below
Butland
Byram Pelts Pearce Warnock
Brown
There stuff us. Proper good pasing team and we cant string one together.
I'm off to London Saturday so I wont be tuning in.

Afraid not a damn drop left in mine. Bone feckin dry

Continue to pay him monthly, send him on Gardening leave as Bucks suggestedand who is going to pay him the 1.5m compo he would be due ?
+1 on this all the best to you Leeds60...First of all, best wishes to you, Leeds60. Every fortnight?? Boy, you've got grit! How much longer do you expect this to go on? Hope Mrs 60 gets well soon too.
IF you HAD to pick one of the slightly better players week in and week out then Warnock would have been one of mine.Warnock got the MOM on Saturday (not hard I know) and then was dropped.
New Project? I noticed Sheldons 28 day ban was up the other day and wondered if he would be back.Bucks, we need to discuss the new project!!! Interesting Sheldon has not returned!!!

Brian has no plan B and his plan A isn't that good either, he really doesn't know what formation or starting 11 to go with and that shows when the team plays, they seem lost out there on the pitch unsure of what is expected of them.

I'd play Ross up front on his own and have 10 including keeper at the back..........![]()

As GH pointed out they were allegedly also at a strip joint, hardly a sackable offence either. I once met Aidan McGeady at a strip joint in Glasgow, allegedly of course. Wasn't either of our first times there either. Those were the good old daysShock!!!! Horror!!!! Footballers go on the piss? How very unusual!!! Nah, must be more to it. Players don't get dropped for going on the piss, otherwise almost every game would be wiped out every weekend. Must be more than that - e.g. what exactly did they get up to when pissed?
I'm struggling to think who the famous 5 might be. I can come up with Kebe, Peltier, & Warnock, but I'd have dropped the first 2 anyway. So who else got dropped (I'm assuming this means that they didn't even make the bench, otherwise & Stewart would join my list - and I'd have dropped Stewart anyway!).
Alright Enoch, been a while pal![]()
