The rugby club have already beat the football fans to it with meetings. I suppose if City can house 400 fans or so in a part of the Williams with a restricted view and next to a building site its a start. The only real detail fans have is the EE is gone.
Another transfer from EE into Williams was planned. Hear its been cancelled by fans due to the reason above. Club have yet to pencil in any meetings for fans in Atyeo and Williams. There is also no real detail been given out to fans just vague possibilities. Looks disorganised this again from BCFC.
Don't you think you think fans should have been clearly informed where? Many fans will be losing their seats, some for ever and the club appear to have no process in place to ensure this proceeds as easily as possible.
Which side? Left or right! Fans who are losing their seats, maybe for ever are not being consulted. What is clear is once again BCFC are not doing what they say they will. A consultation at every stage was promised. Seen the Wedlock design for the new ground? You won't have because despite what they say you are not worthy. The biggest and best clubs in the World e.g. Bayern Munich involve fans in decision making. Bristol City, small time City don't. Citys PR is awful. Don't plan, don't involve support its hardly suprising the outcome at BCFC is constantly shabby and poor.
Some blokes on about the concrete here. Fans do not even know what this ground will look like one end and some wont know what stand they will be in next season only months away from the Eastend getting knocked down. Bristol sport rugga have their season ticket prices for next season. Club and Bristol sport is ran by f**kwads!!!!
Yes ... The Eastend will soon be brown bread. Now if some smart arse told I, "you won't know what the new Un will look like months before the Eastend goes ground zero", I would have said "But, BUT Lansdowns Junior sed summat else!"
In our brave new world, 'consultation' rarely leads to a satisfactory outcome: it is not 'negotiation'. Managers need not take into account anything said during consultations; they are merely an arena in which they tell you what they're going to do, and as such, they can completely ignore suggestions/criticisms. Sadly, 'consultation' is pretty much a waste of time these days.
change is inevitable, some will like it some won't but it's a fact of life you can never appease all.
A FC by its true nature is a club. It's exists for its members to play football, and operate as a club. The greatest club's in the world such as Bayern do not appease their members, they include them in processes that affect them. City's rhetoric regarding Community and consultation does not stand up to much scrutiny .. It is just words.
And if they or the German club you keep comparing us to held consultations, the club will always get what they want, they have the money. If you want a say, do what they did and buy into the club. But in all fairness if you had your way, the Eastend would stay regardless of what the other 8000 season ticket holders think or say. As I said you can't appease everyone. Me I'm more concerned with building a club that will at least build a future for my kids and grandkids and theirs.
The German club I mention do hold consultations. Of course the club will have a consensus as that is what it is a club. The club is its members, and without them the club does not exist. Bayern Munich the team is placed into a separate company to attract investors e.g Audi and Adidas, but everything else comes under the instruction of its members - The club being its members control assets to protect the FC. Eastend stay? No. It would be designed with its members in mind not franchises. Another comparison there on a higher plane all together is Dortmund. The world's best supported club dedicate % of their stadia to a specific type of support, and work towards a collective aim with fans groups. German clubs put the future and kids to the fore of thinking always. City's plans now the pillars are gone, it's unclear who runs what - Bristol Sport!! The above are sustainable models. Bayern make a profit where as Man City/United/Chelsea et all do not. City here lose ridiculous amounts, amounts they did not when owned by fans! Think small, be small is BCFC.
