... rumours, strong links and definitely maybe's, here's a possible starting XI for Anfield. ...................Gordon..................... Hutton....Turner...Johnson...Izzugare Larsson...Colback...Sessegnon...N'Zogbia ..............Gyan...Sturridge.............. This, for me, would be a very, very good side, easily top 10 material. Hutton is pure speculation, but he is gonna be available. Izzugare is unlikely, more likely Kieron. Sturridge again, is more our wish than anything else.....BUT... This is possible, we'd also have a VERY strong bench based on this with the likes of Catts, Titus, Westwood, Meyler, Steeeeed, N'Gog and Noble, plus others. That's a top 10 team, no question. Over to you Bruce, Quinn and Ellis...
But if its: Mig Muhammady, Turner, Bramble, Bardo Steed, Colback, Catts, Richo Sessegnon Gyan We're ****ed on day 1 and day 2 of the season IMO. Again over to Quinn and Bruce.
Tbh, i would be VERY happy with that team. I however, highly doubt that is what the starting 11 will look like. I would prefer Bramble in there instead of Turner tho.
Aye, full agreement. I'd love Bruce to read this thread and lookat the f=difference between the 2, for a handful of totally achievable signings. You look at the first team and see pace, excitement and creativity. You look at the second, and think the club should change it's name to Sunderland 0. Your looking at around £45 million to build the first team, we have brought in that amont by selling Bent and Jordan.
I put Turner ahead of Bramble purely as i think he'll be a great weapon with Seb's delivery, i wouldn't argue between the 2, either would do me. Johnson is a class act and either of the other 2 would be rock solid alongside him.
That's not a bad line up there BB, although I don't think Gordon will not be fit in time for the Liverpool match and I certainly wouldn't play Turner against the likes of Suarez, who would tear him another arsehole with his pace. This would be my preferred team.... ..........................Mig............................. Bardsley....Bramble...Johnson...Konchesky Larsson.........Colback..........N'Zogbia .................Sessegnon.................... ..........Gyan............Welbeck.........
I would expect that team to beat the mags at home if they all played as they can with my only worry Elmo at right back.
That'd do me Dorset me old mucka, Konchesky is another player who is a very decent player, so he made a bad career choice and was vilified, he also played numerous times for England, and did a reasonable job. The reason i never put Welbeck in, is because i just can't see it, and he'd be my pick if i had the power in a flash.

Celtic left back, Scottish player of the year, no doubt spent incorrectly. We've been linked this morning.
That is a team I'd be mopre than happy with and none of them are exactly 'out of our league' signings are they. Do you have Bruces email address? Lol
Although all that's been said are decent teams I don't think you could play sess in the middle of 2 man midfield, he needs to be played behind the striker or at worst wide right/left of a front 3!

No BC doesn't need his email address. He has him on speed dial. Anyway before any big changes are made I'm sure Steve phones Chris to find out his opinion. As you may recall Chris was moaning about Jordan and not long after that he was on his way out of the club. Need I say more!!
Been looking at all those teams mentioned and apart from Cests first team (which is basically the team we have now), all of the players in those teams are not big players they are grafters. Also agree that most of those teams and players would be finishing in a comfortable position by next May.
