Let's hope so. A sizeable number of our solid fan base won't have a season ticket, for various reasons.
19,000 season ticket holders would be potentially 38,000 applications, we get 31,000 tickets for the semi and less than 25,000 for the final, it can't be right.
Nobody know for sure yet what it will be. I'm guessing 1 per pass then fa cup Sunderland ticket holders then general sale. And for the final (if we make it) it should be one per pass then a lotto style draw for the rest!!
Shouldn't there be special trains to take people back to Hull on Sunday night or Monday morning? I'm not a season ticket holder but I bought a ticket for Brighton away. Will I only get one ticket if I'm lucky? If I'm unlucky I suppose I will have to get ticket(s) for the club tier or the hospitality seats.
I expect that's what it will be, though they'll also take into account non-season ticket holders who did the FA Cup away games too.
I think we should fight for them in linnet car park. Last 31,000 standing gets a ticket. Flaskers won't stand a chance.
Just booked my train for the Sunday for £99 return 2 adults and one child... I would get on there quick as I think the prices will rocket up. Last train back on Sunday is 20.35 so plenty of time. Metropolitan line straight to Wembley from kings cross and only 25 mins. Get in there people b4 it is too late!!!
Are you sure there's plenty of time? What happens if it's extra time and pens? Wont that make final whistle about 7pm, then getting out of Wembley with huge police presence as all sets of fans from both clubs head to Kings X? Police might even keep the winning fans behind for half an hour to 45 mins. It's doable but reckon it'll be pushing it...
Yeah plenty of time getting back only 2 min walk to underground and I so glad I bought my tickets for the train as soon as the dates were announced as the prices have considerably jumped up from £56 I paid from hull is now £98 and last train back I paid £46 which now is £146. Baring in mind that is for 2 adults and 1 child with a railcard. Honestly people get your train booked if you know you are guaranteed tickets or the prices will go up even more after today!!!
At them prices I will opt for the 'bus ****er' route. Sure it will be £30 max per seat. couple of films on the tablet, job done!
I was lucky with the train to be honest with the prices quoted at the time. If it would have been the prices stated now I would definitely have got the coach. I imagine extra carriages will be put on as well!!!
Getting away from a full Wembley after a final whistle is no easy stroll. You need to allow 30 minutes from final penalty kick to getting on a train and escaping. That said, penalties would likely be done by 6.50/6.55, so you should be fairly confident of getting to KX around 8.00.
Your imagination could well play tricks with you. Which ever company is responsible for the number of carriages will look to see if there's an event on and consider demand and act accordingly, but unless things have changed, there's no direct correlation between ticket sales and the number of carriages added.
I reckon 30 minutes is optimistic, they let you out along empire way in waves to avoid a crush at the tube station and then you join a massive queue for a train (but i hope you are right). I think more than 1 ticket per pass is unfair as others that have attended games should have a fair chance of tickets (yes we are both pass holders btw). We are lucky in that one of our sons lives in Kilburn just 4 stops from Wembley so we will drive down and bunk up with him after treating him to a meal and some bevvies down the local after the game
I really think people are not allowing for the police presence. It's not as if one set of fans is going to Euston and one to Kings X. You'll all be together and the Met will be all over it like a rash. I honestly think they might stagger departures from the ground and have massive cordons in place around Kings X. Good luck anyway, I'm staying over Sunday night.
