it is a toss up between Nigel Clough and SB as the best english manager. call me biassed but SB wins it for me.
I would argue there's generally more than one best manager in the leagues. Based purely on where they where and where they are, Nigel Clough has done a remarkable job of managing Sheffield United. Steve Bruce has done an equally remarkable, but different job of getting us where we are at the moment. I'd say both deserve credit.
And SB's managerial pedigree keeps on rising as we enter what could be a defining tournament for our national team in a few months. If you know what I mean.....
When was it on? Was it on Colin Murray's show or Brazil's? I listened to the whole of Brazil's show but never heard it. Davies interview was pretty decent, had a nice dig at Roy Keane...
Just a thought, but surely reaching a semi and possibly a final may encourage Roy to take our players a bit more seriously?
Anyone got a link to the clip, was listening through this morning's Murray show and couldn't seem to find it.
He was asked about the Ireland national team possibilities and he said there's no point as Keane doesn't think much of me. He also said the same for O'Neill, presumably they weren't great mates in his time at Villa... The full interview is on one of the other threads.
