Mackay has taken the Cardiff job so the next few days will be interesting if this rumour is true. There are a few good Championship managers out of work at the moment, like Billy Davies, Roberto Di Matteo and Chris Hughton. But I think Watford may need to do this on the cheap and picking up a good up-and-coming lower league manager may suit them better. My fingers are firmly crossed that it isn't Waddock.

This kind of situation will always happen to clubs our size if we have a bit of success. Can be a catch 22 sometimes.

Yes Waddock is rising to the top of the favourites.

Mind you Alan Shearer is 20/1!!!!! Where did that come from? If Cardiff weren't good enough for him, What makes anyone think Watford have a much larger budget?

I hope this can all be resolved quickly and amicably.

I was looking on skybet too. Graham Westley 6/4 favourite, Watford fans should be worried about that with his thuggish brand of football. Waddock out to 10/1, might have a bet on that to soften the blow if he ends up getting the job!

Rocky I like this plan. It would be a big jump for Waddock IMO.

anyone that takes the watford job will be out of work by christmas. that's not me having a pop at the hornets who i respect as a club, it's how tough the championship will be next season and the shape watford are in at the moment.
