Whatever the rights or wrong of todays performance, team selection etc lets move on to Crystal Palace. Season starts now. If we finish 4th bottom after what Gus walked into plus he got us to the final of the Capital One cup and last eight of the FA cup he has been fantastic for us. Let's focus of the remainder of the games now. It's going to be 'balls for glory' now till the end of the season. If everything works out well it will be another interesting Summer at the SOL...in Gus I trust.....
Thats the spirit, hope springs eternal and all that, we have everything to play for, we have the best manager in years, and a big squad to see us through, the mistakes and errors of the past must be left behind its all hands to the pumps for one last charge, where's Lord Byron when you need him.
"Unity is Strength and Divided we Fall"..Time now for every fan attending the SoL to forget their inhibitions and get bend the team rather than be just passive spectators..
Definitely, glad we got that performance out of system to be honest. 3 defeats in a row now conceding 10 goals and only scoring 2, mental that as it feels like we have been on a good run. Pressure on this Palace game big time, they will come for the draw and probably get it, 0-0.
Didn't do o levels. Did an IB. Just ask if you care for my CV in it's entirety. It's an interesting read.
We have a squad of very highly paid players. It wasn't Gus to blame for that abject display yesterday it was those very same players. Head down arses up now till May. Secure our Premiership place then cull the weaklings in the squad and we move on with the Gus plan. I love what he has done with the old place so far and can't wait to see his own team in another 12 months or so.
Needs must, the situation we are in demands that we do just this and fight right to the hopefully glorious end to the season, onward and upwards.
You weren';t on here a great deal at the start of Feb were you? Funny how you disappear when things go against you. What was the score in your cup quarter final? Or final?
I know where you are coming from but everything that has happened this season so far is now water under the bridge. I'm just pointing out we have a fantastic manager that for once at Sunderland knows what he is doing both on and off the pitch. Talk about a challenge when he took the job....it was a holy moly. The problems that he has got are not going to go away over the remaining games...i.e. front men who struggle to score which is your bread and butter on surviving in the EPL. However giving how things looked before Christmas I would have snapped your hand off to be in this situation now. We have our destiny in our hands.....yes, it is Sunderland so we can expect a few disasters from now till the end of the season. It just comes with the territory with us.....but I'm very confident we can do it. Then let Gus build his own team. There is no doubt this weekends game is huge but we can do it....go with this team: Mannone Bardo Brown O'Shea Alonso Johnson Ki Catts Gardner Colback Borini
