I completely agree Boab, except that Grayson could have built some real momentum, but for lack of cash that first January back in the Championship. He could have been a great long term manager. The game's changed so much since Wilko was here that I don't think he could help us now. He had players who were only just full time pros during that promotion season. In fact, wasn't there a part time postie in the squad, or did I imagine that? Another season finished early. I'm changing my f**king username tomorrow.
Said the same about McDermott when Warnock is around. Sacking the manager is POINTLESS right now because it will just go round in circles, the same thing will happen next season because we'll have an unsettled squad of players that MacKay has brought in, then you'll all start moaning that MacKay isn't good enough and has to go... the only time this hasn't happened in the last decade is when Grayson was in charge, he had a belter of a first season in the Championship. The rest of it is an unsettled mediocre squad due to lack of funding and constantly chopping and changing the squad and the manager. You all have to stop thinking so short term.
