Birmingham had not won any of their last 11 home matches, I wouldn't get too excited. Much tougher game on Tuesday night.
Another win at Brighton and we might be talking automatic promotion again, changes like the weather doesn't it?...
I heard him talking on the telly this morning in the lead up to Derby's home game v Millwall. He spoke about pursuing the second auto spot and about Burnley and Leicester. He was then asked if any of the other teams around them could challenge Derby. McClaren then gave an assessment of Forest, Wigan and Reading but didn't even acknowledge us. I found this a bit strange or am I being paranoid?
We were much better than previous games bug Birmingham are a team with no budget, full of loan kids and lower league players. If we get something on Tuesday I'll believe we've turned a corner.
In all reality, our recent form, would mean, that other Managers vying for playoff places would rightly think we were on the decline. Which makes us dark horses, despite our position. I'm happy with that, there is usually one team that surprises everyone in the run-in. Just maybe, it might be us !! (the eternal optimist - yup, thats me!!)
On a more optimistic note, Palace won the play-offs after an abysmal run-in that had the local press saying Ollie would be axed if they'd lost to Posh on the final day of the season, it ebbs and flows, let's hope we're heading upwards from now...
Perhaps we will also be blessed with a "good luck" welcome at the Amex? please log in to view this image The start of Gus Poyetâs demise appears to have started over a **** in the dressing room of Crystal Palace whilst playing at the Amex Stadium for the Championships second leg pay-offs. http://guerrillademocracy.blogspot.ca/2013/06/the-****-is-hitting-fan-in-brighton.html
Can't believe any manager would even slightly dismiss a team in 4th no matter what form they're in. They've been in the game long enough to have seen fortunes change for the good as quickly as they've turned bad.
The Burnley match tomorrow is a massive game for us. This must be the most poisonus rivalry in the championship by a mile. Come on you R's.
The OP is as idiotic as saying we won't make the playoffs after we lose one game when weve won the previous 5. Our form is still bottom half, it will take more than one result to improve that. We've still only won once in 6. Still it was a great result, I haven't commented on the performance as I didn't see it.
