Seville interest in Coloccini? [Merged]

I'd sell him for £7m tbh if he was replaced wisely. 29 now and on massive wages which could be better utilised elsewhere...

 

It took Colo a season to adapt to the EPL, he admitted it was difficult at first and the drop down to Championship level benefitted him (or something along those lines, too lazy to find the quotes). Wouldnt want to risk another Argentine from the Spanish league, could have the same problem.

I bet with Spurs looking to sell Bassong and Wolfsburg looking to sell Kjaer, you could pick them both up for 12m

 

I'd certainly welcome Bassong back. Dont know much about the other guy except he's handy on Fifa.

 

I'd hate to lose colo but if any decent offer came in I think Ashley would take it, I know Negredo was linked with us earlier so possibly a swap deal might be on the cards. I would love colo to stay but if he is on the reported wages then I can't help but think Ashley would want him to go

 

When Wolfsburg won the bundesliga, they'd hope Kjaer and Diego would take them to the next level. Didn't work out and they ended up 15th, still good players though.

 

Think if the right offer came in Ashley would consider it but I couldn't imagine not hearing/singing his song, when I cant get to the game and watch it on TV hearing that getting belted out makes me feel like I'm there! OOOOOOOOOO COLOCCINI

 

I'm sure I saw he was after a move. I can't remember if it said he had a preference to come to the EPL or not though

aye, (you probably realise this but) the problem is, because of the nature of the PL there's a lack of 'ball playing defenders' here, and as we've seen it takes them a season to adapt to the pace of the league (going by sexy colo), so foreign 'ball playing defenders' will probs take a season to adapt and we'll have a 'first season colo' if we try to sign one.

He's worth atleast 10/11 million, and in anycase, we shouldn't be selling him anyway!

He's been the only consistant CB we've had this season, and one of the most vital players in the squad.

Nolan, fine. I can live with him leaving. Enrique, for the right price fine. But Barton not offered a new contract, and interest in Coloccini and Jonas?

Why? Why are we getting rid of the heart of the team???

 

Coloccini is by far and away our highest earner. I see why the club may want rid, but I don't necessarily agree with it. 7 mil does seem a little low but he is 28/29 now so we're unlikely to get much more than that if I'm honest

3.5 for Nolan on last seasons form was cheap, and 7 mil for Colo would be scandalous - anyway, he's the one player we should now be making 100% sure we keep - no point in buying all these midfiled/attacking players then breaking up the defence. Our defence know eachother, know strengths and weaknesses, know how to play together iIf Jose and Colo go, that means a new defence spending half the season bedding in and getting to know eachother. Can't for the life of me understand how the clubs doing good business bringing people in, but is for some reason letting vital players go for low money.
