I had wanted to choose a hurdle race for the competition as a change from the stream of chases we have had, and thankfully, the Imperial Cup at Sandown, looks like it will not cut up too badly, and so is this week's target race. A few of these are double entered at Cheltenham the following week - which may be a plus, or not depending upon your point of view. With an odd number in the league again, City and Red will both be challenged by newcomer Danish Pastry. You have to pick first Danish, but from what I can see that may well be an advantage this week View attachment 29966 New players welcome - send me a PM if interested, and as always, good luck all
Really tempted to go ew Harristown but I think I'll go Vibrato Valtat ew and hope Regal Encore goes off odds on.
I'm challenging Uncle and I'm selecting Harristown ew please Reebs. Not sure if it wins but I like the forum connection and am a sucker for the underdog up against moneybags McManus. I've even invested some of my hard earned at 18s too. All the best Uncle.
I'm soooo undecided about this race. I fear the confidence connections have about Regal Encore, forum horse Harristown seems to have a decent ew shout at goodish odds, and my bet for the County Hurdle, Vibrato Valtat runs here before going on to Cheltenham. Throw in the improving New Years Eve, Swing Bowler and the unexposed Hendo horse Fourth Estate and I'm struggling! However - I have to give Blue something to match or better so ..................... I'll think about it some more
This is a very open race, think a outsider will win! fancy New Years Eve and Fourth Estate, would even have a small e/w on Chesil Beach with a different jockey, but going to go with Fourth Estate e/w cheers Reebs
Uncle and Red - you have both posted ahead of your challenger, with no alternative, so you may be left with no selection should your challenger want your selection!
