That's what I thought when I read the article. Having said that, we got him on a free transfer and I reckon he may well be on £50k/week (wage cap) plus bonuses etc. amounting to around £4m per year.

 

I reckon best will be on **** all* though, since we signed him whilst we were in the championship
*in comparison to PL players

 

Thats why it wouldnt make much sense to sell him. Our supposed new approach is young cheap players who can improve. Best is young and will be on low wages and after last season there is hope for him being a capable PL striker. Why would we sell that?
