Well, I don't have any information about the current situation, but I just think, that everything will be good for Fulham, if they finally start winning. He's very experienced and I think he knows, whats he's doing right down, but it takes time to adjust the team. There's no time left for some tactical experiments. If you want to know sth. about his training methods or his view how the things have to be on the pitch, just ask me.
I for one would be very interested in your thoughts about training and views on tactics. Perhaps on a separate thread. He's had a proper slating from all angles, not on this board though. I like him. He plays a straight bat it seems.
I would get very short odds at the bookies if i wanted to say both cardiff and fulham are virtually gone. Its not worth a bet...
Dai - once again your logic is on a par with Spock. However, there is a flaw in your meaningful epistle. I doubt you'd get any odds at all if you wanted to bet that "both Cardfiff and Fulham have virtually gone". Neither club has actually gone yet, and both will be gunning for your club (though neither of us have still to play you), and half a dozen others around you. I suppose you think you're safe then Dai?
Morning westschinken, First off a belated welcome onboard. It is going to be a rocky run in for the next ten games. With your knowledge of McGath how will approach these crucial games ? I have yet to see his philosophy on the pitch. Do you think he will want better ball retention and for us to counter attack. Alternatively, is he brave enough to go all out attack if that is what we need ? I guess the biggest issue we have at the moment is defending so I will assume that has been top of the agenda this morning.
A nice article written by our former captain Danny Murphy... Wish he was involved somehow! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26473475
That fact that we still have not replaced Danny Murphy is testament to how good he was. Hearing about Diarra potentially getting fit intrigues me. His composure and ability to look up and play a forward pass could be pivotal for us
If all goes tits up this season,i would love to see DM at the helm, couldnot do any worse. . I feel that he would be a club man rather than someone who comes in just for 1st team duties.
Hey guys. I really want to answer all your questions and I will try to do it as soon as I can. My english is not the best so I hope, that you'll be insightful on my writing. First of all, he is a good manager, if you let him do his job, as he wants to. That means, if he didn't like a player, he will try to sell him as fast es he can. It doesn't matter, if the fans love him or if he shows high potential. His training style is quite unique these days because he focuses on the physical strength. Be sure, that your guys will be able to fight till the end of the game and score a lot of goals in the last few minutes -> great fitness. Just ask former topscorer Grafite about the training. Magath, on his first stay in Wolfsburg, told his players that they're going for a short walk. Actually they had to run on high mountain until some of the guys broke down (Grafite vomitted). Magath always analyses anything, everything and anyone. As a big chess-fan, all his steps are very well planned and he don't to things spontaneously. I will write a bit more this evening, if it's okay for you guys.
Your English is very good westscinken and thanks for the information. Felix comes across as someone who knows what he wants from his team and is not afraid, as you said, to act quickly if he does get his own way. To be honest, in our situation discipline in the way the players perform is essential. I hope for our benefit and for Felix's benefit that the players are : - good enough to do what he wants - committed enough to want to do what he wants - most importantly committed to avoiding relegation and improving themselves as individuals Vielen dank fur dein informationen. Sie kommen auf die weissen !!!
Thanks Westschinken I am a little concerned about him leaving Holtby out and playing Parker with Sidwell. I know he doesn't look back but surely he's seen some video of previous games? This would have highlighted this combo doesn't work. i do like his matter of fact approach and his belief. This is great and what the players need. Still unsure why he played Dempsey against Chelsea when he was leaving the next day?
You're welcome, guys. I don't know how he is thinking about the current situation and how it might influence his decisions, but if he doesn't trust a player, he will not send him on the pitch. He will rather send him to a different club. I think there could be problems with Riether, because as far as I remember, they can't stand each other. Riether left Wolfsburg immediately as Magath had returned. I think it reflects the relationship, Magath and his players have now or had in the past. Some love him (Dzeko, Grafite, Raul,...), some don't (Diego, Streit,...). I wouldn't give to much on the media, especially about the news from germany. There are many enemies, who try to discredit him.
I've said it before both our FB's are not good enough. Riether's been ok for me, others rate him highly. In this relegation scrap I wish we had a Baird or a Stalteri.
After today's result, the correct answer is zero. We have zero chance of staying up. Turn out the lights, the party is over ...
no gloating from me, i look at your team on paper and you should be mid table, not bottom. parker, berbatov (i know gone), stekelenburg, hangeland etc, are all quality players and as an outsider i cant really understand where its gone wrong.
3 different managers??? Perhaps that's part of it - thought the first probably deserved to go but not so sure bout the time given to the second one. Unlucky today guys felt it could have easily gone in the opposite direction
I'm feeling very sorry for you guys, at the moment. Although I'm a Hammers supporter, I really like your club, because of my love to london (I support all of the, exept millwall ;-) ). I've been to craven cottage last year to see the hammers but the atmosphere impressed me. I wish you good luck on the next few games. There isn't anything decided yet, just look at West Ham. If you win a few games, it will be allright, but it seems to me, that this is one of the biggest problems. Your defense is quite ****ty in my opinion. There are some big names in your squad, but no one bring their abilities to the pitch. Maybe it's because of 3 Managers in one season. I really dunno. Every manager got his own style and his philosophy. The pressure gets higher and the players have to adapt the new systems as fast as they can get. The saddest thing about todays game is, that Cardiff is one of the worst teams I've ever seen. I've been at White Hart Lane last week and their game was horrible. If you can't beat them, who you gonna win? I really feel for you guys!
