Not sure if it's been discussed on here today (apologies if it has) but.....

**** me! QPR made a £65.4m loss last year. Turnover £60.6m, wages £68m. Spectacular!! Debt of £177m - more than we ever had. And that was while they were in the Premier League? What is it going to be like this season? Harry sure has been working his magic there hasn't he? His track record of bankrupting clubs is legendary.

They've got a big problem if they don't get promoted.
Is it next season when Fair Play kicks in for the Championship and possible points deductions.

But they shouldn't worry, 'Arry will save them. <laugh>

Aye, don't mind them as a club.
Seems as though they've let Redknapp run wild with player salaries just like he did at Portsmouth.

I've been convinced all season that they spawn their way in via the last kick of the play offs. Doesn't look like they'll get automatic promotion as it stands. Hope they don't come up just to piss off Redknapp.

Just think what he must have done about his own.

He tends to like money more than most.

Maybe it's just the bright City lights that he likes.

Plus the ladies and more freedom of movement without being recognised so easily.

Two reasons they won't go pop... Tony.... Fernandes....
They tried to jump right in with the big money.. And it will blow up in their face.

Would we want somebody here that didn't want to be?

I like him as a player but if his heart isn't in it he may as well not be here.

Incredible. I don't know how deep Tony's pockets are (pretty deep by all accounts) but QPR have to hope he is in it for the long haul and fun. It will take an awful long time to get their money back, if ever. They took an almighty punt which just hasn't come off. Promotion is a necessity really but that is looking tricky at present. I'm neither here nor there about whether they come up or down but anything that resulted in us getting Remy would be preferable (not gonna happen either way!). Certainly don't wish ill on them and don't think they have done anything wrong by trying to jump to the top table. Its their money they can do as they please.

Sorry if im stating an obvious point, but even if TF has limitless funds, with the fair play rules does it not mean he cant really bail them out financially everytime something goes wrong? so if they continue to lose money they could have a slide due to transfer embargos and points deductions?

If you believe FFP will be enforced (UEFA are suggesting it will but I wouldn't trust Platini)

I think there's quite a few that wouldn't trust Platini and friends.

    Devious isn't the word.

It really says a lot about the state of the country in the 21st century that so many uber-rich people - Fernandes, Ecclestone/Briatore, Mittal (the richest man in the country) - have all invested in QPR in recent years. None of them football men, investing in a club probably ranked about 60th in England in historic size. Clubs like Wolves and Wednesday here may not reside in fashionable areas like West London, but surely they have greater potential? Or is a club's fan base really so unimportant today?
