Liverpool loanee starlet Suso is set to end to his time at Anfield by completing a permanent move to La Liga side Sevilla, reports in Spain claim. The Spanish playmaker joined Liverpool from Cadiz's academy in the summer of 2009 during Rafa Benitez's tenure but last summer Brendan Rodgers decided to send him on loan to Almeria to continue his development. According to Andalucia-based newspaper El Desmarque, the 20-year-old playmaker is enjoying his time back in Spain so much that he wants to make his move to La Liga permanent, with Sevilla leading the race to secure his services over his current side Almeria. El Desmarque claim sources close to Suso have assured them that the midfielder is in advanced negotiations to make a move to Nervion Stadium, although Sevilla will also need to agree terms with Liverpool. Spanish reports claim that Suso's contract at Liverpool expires in summer 2015, adding that the player rejected an extension proposal from the Reds in January as he wasn't sure about committing his future to Anfield. Sevilla are trying to complete the deal as soon as possible, as they are aware of potential interest from clubs elsewhere in Europe. The Spain Under 21 international enjoyed his breakthrough season on Merseyside last campaign, making 20 impressive appearances for the first team. Last summer he rejected a move to Borussia Dortmund and decided instead to back to his homeland where he has honed his repuation, scoring two goals and grabbing eight assists in 24 La Liga games. Suso believes that his chances of securing a place in Liverpool's line-up next season are uncertain with Philippe Coutinho excelling in his role and earlier last week he admitted that he was considering extending his stay with Almeria for one more season. "I'm at AlmerÃa on loan from Liverpool so it doesn't depend just on my decision," Suso said. "Almeria have given me the chance to play in the first division and I would not mind at all continuing here one more season, but as I said, it does not depend just on me." http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/liverpool-...his-anfield-spell-join-la-liga-report-1438859 Nothing concrete here imo his comments could mean anything, I really hope he comes back to fight for his place. Champions League footy may be a big influence.
I like both of them don't get me wrong, but we have barely seen them play. Suso played in just one Europa league game more than those two have combined for Liverpool! Pretty unfair to judge when we have seen Suso play and start against the likes of Manchester United while these players have simply had cameo appearances. Suso had bright moments in the LFC shirt too, I hope for one he comes back as he has kind of gone from being an AM to more of a LF at Almeria. IF all three could come good that would be amazing but we will see. The praises that Teixeira gets now is what Suso was getting before. Time will tell.
I haven't seen him this season, no, bar some ok highlights. But I saw enough of him last season, and wasn't very impressed. Plays with his head down a lot, runs into cul de sacs of which he can't get out through just trickery. A coutinho-lite. I have seen nothing of Alberto, bar a couple of sub performances. He's not good enough for our bench, but has potential. His gait and run with the ball are better in my eyes than Suso's. Tex on the other hand, from that Fulham game, was as good as one can ask of a smallish forward/CAM.
Well if we are going to base how a player looks after one game, sorry 10 minutes of one game, then let's throw some youtube clips in as well.
He's got a strange little duck-step running. Knees don't get high enough which results in his run being shortchanged of pace and power.
Easy Fergie. So was that why he was exploding by players in the video? You are just playing devil's advocate now....
Fergie was bang out of order and wrong about Henderson btw. Hendo got a powerful run on top of a powerful engine. Re Suso... I see what I see re his shuffle run and his head-down elements. I don't prefer them, but they might be overcome by extra-ability in other departments. I like Suso, not crazy about him however.
And BCR, if you saw explosions in that video, it would be smart not to hold your computer on your lap when browsing Iago Aspas
From what i've seen of Suso he's very strong on the ball works hard and has good skill, passing and reads the game well. A very good player imo and I'd rate him much, much higher than Tex and Alberto. I hope he's back as competion for Coutinho next season we'll need players like him in the squad.
So he didn't peel away from his defenders? He didn't accelerate past them? Again, playing the confrontational card will get you so far here. Never said he was the fastest but he certainly has some pace to leave defenders behind like he did!
Rodgers can't be faulted with holding back youngsters. He has blooded plenty enough. If Suso isn't staying at Anfield its because Rodgers doesn't think he is good enough. Given the chances to others that Rodgers has allowed I think its fair to say I trust he is making right choice here. Nemeth, lindfield, Pacheco... We've had a number of high hopes not make the grade.
