Sure like me a few people have forgotten about the current league situation due to Wembley and the potential of another appearance if we beat Hull

Looking at the fixtures for the rest of the season...

    Palace (H) - should win
    Norwich (A) - win/draw
    L'pool (A) - lose
West Ham (H) - should win
    Tott (A) - lose
    Everton (H) - draw/lose
    Chelsea (A) - lose
    Cardiff (H) - Win
    Utd (A) - draw/lose
    Swansea (H) - Win

    City (A) - Lose
    WBA (H) - Win

Should ideally be looking at a minimum of 16 points there imo which isnt impossible

That would take us to the 40 points mark which is the supposed safety line for relegation!

That's OK - cos we can beat the big teams in the league ... (Man City)!! It's a big ask - and it's not going to be easy, but it starts next Saturday. I know we are capable of doing it.... but it depends on whether the capable side of the players turns up

Still fancy us to get more points than West Brom Fulham and Cardiff. What that total is? Who knows. We are the type of team who'll lose to Palace and Norwich but then beat Liverpool and Spurs.

Agree with Parker. Quick tot-up and reckon 14 points from those games. Still think we will be safe with that, but yet another close-ran season imho.

I think it's between us, Cardiff, Fulham, Norwich and WBA.

    It's going to be tight.

I'm just not sure, my opinion will change game by game. I hope we continue with Borini up front every game. Gives us our best chance.

Think we need to play Borini and another up front for our home games, we need to break teams down

I reckon we'll get a few bonus points of the top sides, while stupidly dropping some points to the teams around us. I'm as confident as I can be given the circumstances.

You're wrong 100% because we have. Or didn't we beat Fulham and Stoke? We're not the same team as we we're under PDC we're not even the same team that Gus helped us to beating Newcastle at home. We've evolved as the season has gone on. Despite two defeats running in the league against Arsenal (who are class) and Hull (who we went down to 10 men early) we're still 7th in the form table. Champions league form wouldn't even give you faith.

    You aren't going down.

Fulham, Norwich, Palace and Cardiff alone are worse than your lot. West Brom and Stoke probably are too.

Agree with them apart from Palace/Stoke

Palace have been a lot better under Pulis and Stoke grind out strange results

I'd say you have a better squad though.

Id say as individual players yes, and as a team slowly improving

But its the way Pulis has got Palace set up

Stoke are just the usual harsh tackling selves

I don't see you going down. Fulham ,Cardiff and West Brom for me. Anyway as 2 clubs we have too much shared history from Raich Carter to Steve Bruce, Roy Greenwood to Elmo. I've enjoyed our exchanges this season and had a great day out with the lads at the SOL. I hope we can do it all again next season.

P.S hope Vito has a nightmare on Sunday which would be a shame cos we love him.

Agree with that but we still need to beat the teams around us, forget the bigger games, if we can just beat the teams around us we'll be fine. There's enough points to be had from the so called easier games.

Still think you'll stay up, the only time I waivered slightly was when you lost at home to Villa but you followed that up comfortably.

As far as the team/squad are it becomes of secondary relevance, all that matters is how well you are playing and does that get you points. Still think Newcastle had a strong team when we went down but we were just gash for most of the season.
