He's been canny like. MARCOS ALONSO is unsure whether his long-term future lies at Sunderland, although he is bracing himself to return to Italy at the end of the season. On-loan Fiorentina defender Alonso (pictured) has proved to be an immediate success after becoming Gus Poyetâs first signing as Sunderland boss, with the Spaniard emerging as a fixture in the left-back slot. Sunderland are thought to be keen on converting Alonsoâs loan into a permanent deal, while the 23-year-old himself is privately open to the idea of remaining at the Stadium of Light. http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...star-alonso-braced-for-italy-return-1-6480222
keep him if his italian team will sell him, while we are at it also buy borini if liverpool will sell him
i am sure something is already arranged. Diakte was loaned to them for free (no loan fee) so I am sure there is something going on there
If he's "privately open to it" then why is it printed here?! Journalists are class! I like him - he has had a couple of iffy games but one was in a game where we only had 10 men for 85 minutes and it was very difficult. He can cross a ball and he is capable of defending - was against one of the best attacking right backs in the world at the weekend (IMO) and certainly did a decent job
I'd forgotten he's just here on loan! KEEP!! The sort of quality that Gus is looking for. What's not to like!
Got to keep this lad, he's become as important to us as both Ki and Borini and we simply have to break the bank and secure these 3 if we are to progress beyond relegation fodder every season.
Only played once for Fiorentina, cud get a nice swap for someone we want shot of anyway. Gus will play his hand canny here.
