There is no need for the anti name change to prove anything, the fact that we are in the EPL, and that success has increased the income of the club substantially.

If you want to change something, then it is the responsibility of whoever is suggesting that a change with increase revenue to prove it, if not don't change what isn't broken. The Allam's have not come up with any proof that this change will generate more income, and changing it will surely hit season pass sales. Success on the pitch, is what will increase revenue, not changing the name of the club.

You are absolutely correct there, as you have pointed out in the past. But I am sure you and the rest of the CTWD crowd realize that if the Allams walk away (and they may not) then the necessary investment to keep the club in the premier league may not be forthcoming.

And you may be correct on the second point, however, the Allams own the club not CTWD and want to run it as a commercial enterprise, sometimes this means that they have make descisions that some of their customers do not agree with and indeed those decisions as in all business operations may not lead to the desired outcome.

However, I for one given their track record with the club-save them from administration, made a brave decision to sack a popular manager then hire another who in one season got us into the Premier League and then built a team that looks like it going to keep us there-say they have the right to make another unpopular decision to furhter (at least in their opinion) the future of the club.

Who knows whether the change will bring the riches that they say, certainly not me, not most of the posters on here nor more than lilkely anyone in the CTWD crowd.

At the start of this whole issue i was not in favour of a name change but not vehemently opposed either, but all the ranting, raving and threats from 'him who must be obeyed' has actually made me more and more anti any change as time has gone on.

The Allams have not put forward one shred of logic nor evidence that this will increase revenue and nor have they cited any other examples where changing the name to incorporate the team's nickname had led to more revenue. I am with John on this, success on the pitch will increase exposure and revenue not the name. How have names such as Apple, HSBC, Marks and Spencer etc etc become such icons???? not because of their names - but because of the quality of products and services they deliver. The Allams know this and that is why they have to use threats to 'win' the argument!!

That is just such a stupid thing to say. Is he expecting us to believe that sponsors would abandon Man U , Liverpool etc because they just love Tigers.

I've been involved in marketing brands internationally for thirty years now, I've spent time in Asia in every one of those years, but I know **** all about diesel generators.

Our owners on the other hand...

Or running a business as hugely successfully as the Allams. Or in fact, running a football club.

I think it's fairly obvious that neither of us have proved ourselves capable of successfully running a football club, though to be fair, I've never tried.

And why could he not negotiate with two parties who don't want the name change. These two parties are not likely to be anywhere near this name change now they know the fans feelings not if they are savy with marketing and PR.

I'm not sure they even make marine engines any more, I think they just make diesel generators, maybe they're trying to change the name of the wrong company?

It's because they changed the the of the company to Allam Marine, then told all of their loyal existing customers to f**k off. They were huge before that.

Would you say they have made a success of running Hull City?

FOR. Certainly played their part in making us a Premiership team, brought in Mr B, continue to bring in better players

AGAINST. Our current debt makes previous debts look like pocket money, alienation of many of the clubs supporters

I'm sure there are other arguments for and against but i certainly wouldn't say they have made a success of the club yet. They may do one day, they may also send us to the wall, only looking back in history will you know for sure.
