Obviously with sturridge on international duty and no chelsea manager at the moment he is unlikely to move yet.

However i would love the toon to spend up to £17mill on the lad as our new number 9.

Looks like chelsea are gona buy lukaku so surely sturridge will be after a move and couldnt turn down the chance to be the main man at the toon?

What are the chances? would you spend that much on him or could we get him for much less??

    Cheers.

If Hiddincks the be-all-and-end-all manergerial guru, saviour and advisor that Roman seems to think he is, then surely he's smart enough to keep Sturridge.

Chelsea are managerless, I say Pardew and co just walk into Stamford Bridge and kidnapp him. Wait for the scandal of 'where is Sturridge?' to settle the start playing him, claiming he is a long lost Ameobi brother. There's loads of Ameobis so there'd be no reason to doubt it.

Other than the fact he's actually scoring?

  10. I don't think he's worth 20m now, but he has has potential and the ability to score, and in the future he could be easily worth 20m.

I'd sign him up for 20m, then Nzogbia for 10m, and Erding for 10m.

KEEP BEST!! KEEP LOVER!! SEND RANGER ON LOAN!!! SELL SHOLA!!

    Sturridge
    Ba
    Erding
    Best
    Lover

    as our strikers

    with

    Ben Arfa,
    Cabaye
    Nzogbia
    Jonas

Assisting and chipping in with goals, that's a good strike force!!!!

We could say Mrs. Ameobi had a fling with Gary Lineker in the late 80s.

I'd bid 20mil (we have 34mil left assuming ashley invested nothing) it's not like we can't afford him and he would be a quality player. Defiantly number 9 worthy!

No, don't want him. Flavour of the month and over priced. We could spend 20mill better elsewhere. Couldn't get a game for City or Chelsea, had a good 6 months with Bolton but a long way short of 20 million quid, you'd have to be mental.

There's a thought, Tiote is a very powerful bargaining tool in the transfer window.

Pardew: "Hello? Chelsea FC? I want to sign Sturridge and I was wanting to know how much you want for him?"
Tea Lady: "There's no-one in at the minute but there's a note here on the fridge, hang on...."
    Pardew: "Alright."
    *2 minutes later*
    Tea Lady: "Hello?"
    Pardew: "Yes? How much?"
Tea Lady: "Says here 800 PG Tips and half a dozen 4 pinters... oh wait that's my shopping list, won't be a minute...."
    Pardew: "Facksake."
    *another 2 minutes later*
    Tea Lady: "Hello?"
    Pardew: "HOW MUCH?!"
Tea Lady: "Now there's no need to be snappy! Oh I don't know, give a man a fancy coat and a title and he thinks he's lord and master, I bet you don't talk to your mum like that do you?"
Pardew: *sigh* "What valuation have the club put on Sturridge?"
Tea Lady: "That tall lad, 2 sugars, no milk? Now what does it say here..... TWENTY MILLION! That's disgusting, there's people what aint got no roof over there head and Danny's got that money on his head eee I don't know, what is the world coming to?"
Pardew: "Yeah, yeah, shockin' aint it? How about I give you twelve million?"
Tea Lady: "I'm sorry, says here I can't accept less than twenty until the manager comes back, don't know where he's gone probably to some fancy island like these playboys do don't they?"
Pardew: "Can you get in touch with Bruce Buck and tell him Newcastle are interested in signing him?"
Tea Lady: "You're wanting to sign Bruce? I've seen him in the canteen and all fairness to him, I think his kickabout days is long over."
Pardew: *sigh* "Can you tell Bruce Buck that Newcastle United have lodged a twelve million bid for Daniel Sturridge?"
Tea Lady: "I don't think he'll be happy about that, he said he wants twenty million. I'll tell him anyway but don't get your hopes up. Who should I say is asking?"
    Pardew: "Alan Pardew."
Tea Lady: "How does you spell that?"
    Pardew: "A-L-A-"
Tea Lady: "Would you fancy that? I aint even got a pen handy! Wouldn't mind but I had to pass the stationary cupboard to get the fridge before! Two tics."
Pardew ("Tiote, can you sort this out?")
Tiote: "Your player is our player now."

SKY SPORTS NEWS : NEWCASTLE UNITED HAVE SIGNED DANIEL STURRIDGE ON A FREE TRANSFER AFTER HIS CONTRACT WITH CHELSEA WAS EATEN BY AN UN-NAMED NUFC REPRESENTATIVE. THE PLAYERS IS SAID TO BE, "CONFUSED AND FRIGHTENED".

We could get him for 10m, just need to wait. As soon as Chelsea get a new striker this summer, stick a 10m bid in, promise him first team football, match him 45000 wages and give him the number 9. Let's face it, the big clubs wont want him and most others cant afford him. He wants to play every game, where else would he go?
