http://rokerreport.sbnation.com/201...-city-captain-praises-unbelievable-sunderland With Sunderland 1-0 up in the Capital One Cup final, Vincent Kompany made a superb last-ditch tackle to prevent Fabio Borini from doubling Sunderland's lead, and after playing such a vital role in Manchester City lifting the trophy, the City skipper said it was that moment which proved critical to the team from Manchester winning the game; He [Borini] is a good finisher and he showed that with his first goal. I don't know if he beat the offside trap, but all of a sudden he was alone on goal. I just kept running. I thought I probably wouldn't get there but might have a chance. Ultimately it was very important. At 2-0 it would have been different. Kompany then reserved special praise for Sunderland's performance, calling their display 'unbelievable'; It was a tough game against a good team with great support. They were unbelievable. It was always going to take something special to beat them, and obviously we have got that in our team. Nice words from the Belgian international and hopefully Sunderland can take heart from them and take their 'unbelievable' display into the remaining games of the season, as if we do we will surely stay up and may even have another Wembley trip or two to look forward to. Quality player and Quality bloke, brilliant of him to have came out with this
"that" tackle won the game aswell as the 2 world class goals like we were saying to each other, we go 2-0 up we'll win this and then "that" tackle
What are you going to do if we stay up? I mean you're already plunking at straws when all you have is a prediction which can co easily blow up in your face. What are you going to do boy?
Top bloke VK, as he said 6” either way he was off. Great tackle I thought at the time, these squandered chances may come back and haunt us. They did, but what a great performance from the Lads. Very, very proud of them and the travelling fans on Sunday.
An embarrassment to your club Admittedly so is your manager and quite a number of your fans But you can count yourself amongst one of the most child-like As pointed out by a fellow poster you are clutching onto straws, we have had a Wembley appearance which I am sure the majority of fans who went down will tell you it was a fantastic weekend! Have the potential of another 2 Wembley appearances this season! Depending on the results of them could end up in us going AGAIN in August for the Community Shield...Whilst still in a relegation battle that makes it very nervy but also means we have a bit of excitement in our season Your team on the other hand bottled both cups...and whilst I admit is looking rosy in the league, your players know that they have nothing else to play for and therefore have very little interest... Not only that but your manager is deciding to assault players on the field of play EVEN whilst beating Hull We may go down, but at least we can go down with a bit of pride in our team for getting to Wembley and a lot of pride for Gus hoping he is going to be here for a very, very long time
We won;t see hi9m for months if we stay up - when his team win and we lose he's like a rash, when something goes against him he never shows his face - typical attempted bully boy geordie twat
Hey friends, not cool! I've plenty of times congratulated you when you've won. It'll all be in my post history. I just tell it how I see it. Don't be going 'round making things up now. For instance go back and see what I said about PDC being a nutter and Gus Gus Poyet being a good manager and appointment. I sense a real lack of love 'round here. We're all football fans aren't we - I'm here to discuss football is all.
No-one on here has a problem with that. But when you've been on the wum for a while you can understand why people might suspect you of being a bell end.
Yeah, might have been pushing your lot buttons a bit heavy lately. But I can take it as much as I give it.
