Legend is an over-used word to describe a player who was part of our 73 cup winning team that beat the mighty LUFC. I was merely referring to the pun on
Tueart's name when he offers advice to the manager of a current premiership team when he has no managerial experience himself.

Could be the equivalent of Ted Bates or John Ridsdale giving advice on how to successfully run a massive football club.

By gum I caught another - make that Peter Ridsdale, my mistake and I own up to it. But if you have only been watching football for a short time, he was the fellah that brought success and financial ruin to your once mighty club about 20 years ago. Taken from memory though and at my age ..............

So where did you mention in your previous post that we're talking living memory?
Oh dear your coming across as a bit dim and desperate now. Now jog on before you embarrass yourself further.

When I first started to support Sunderland I was told stories of the great team that won the league in 1936 and the FA cup in 1937, and the men who told me reckoned we would have dominated English football but for WW2. Does that count?

I remember the early days of Leeds under Don Revie, another snake if ever there was one, the games between our two clubs in the second division were the basis of many older supporters having no sympathy with your present plight, you reap what you sow.
