I'd always go back to Central America - Mexico / Belize / Guatemala etc - just to follow the Mayan ruins. Alaska is amazing, but you need to do it by boat or float plane as most of the cities are cut off. Jordan for Petra / Egypt for the Valley of the Kings and Abu Simbel rather than the pyramids. Nagasaki and Hiroshima are worth a visit as are Tokyo, Shanghai and Hong Kong for the big city experience. Put Angkor Wat on your bucket list and whilst in the area spend time in Vietnam and Thailand. Halong Bay is stunning. In all honest, I only got to go to the ports and the odd shore excursion off the ship, so if you were to ask me my favourite places, i'd say Seattle, Tahiti and Wellington. It all seems to long ago now

http://www.traveltip.org/login.php hopefully my map. In over 40 years I have been to 64 countries, many of them more than once
[The map above is correct] Unfortunately I haven't been to Russia, Canada or Brazil, so not so red as other maps I didn't count being in transit when I never went out of the airport. If we were simply listing individual airports arrived at/flown from/landed at then my list would be long
Been around but maybe not to as many places when you look at the map more continents than countries, i guess.
Been to most northern hemisphere countries. Would like to visit India, Israel, South Africa, Turkey, and Greece sometime too.
Been back from Thailand for five days and Im depressed. Even more so after coming up to Hull for the game last Sat! Did Vietnam the year before. Went North, South East and West in Thailand over a five week stretch. Saw some beautiful places in the mountains in the north near the Golden Triangle.
Hmm I need to head more right. Few places not listed that I've been to as well Unlike Mr Shackleton, I enjoyed S Georgia, I even visited your grav....oh this is awkward...anyhoo, I thought it was beautiful. Grytviken (sp) was a strange place, but I got to see the bay where Life in the Freezer was filmed, and took photos of a LOT of Emperor Pengys, smelly bastards that they are. please log in to view this image
Not doing too badly, the Southern Hemisphere is beckoning though. For a place to relax, Mexico (Cabo San Lucas) was too perfect although that was helped by getting up at 5am to watch Cardiff at home last season. As a place to live, nothing yet compares to Canada for me. That lucky lot over in BC don't know how good they've got it.
