Tell you the truth mate, I have a few red and white mates who I wouldn't have minded if you won the cup. But for every decent red and white, there's ten horrible mackems. Probably you feel the same about us.

 

Here in Australia this kind of thinking is considered to be abnormal and people so afflicted would be able to receive treatment, surely there is something similar in the UK that this guy could take advantage of, I refuse to believe that the population of the country where I was born have come to accept it as not unusual, would appreciate the thoughts of some of the people of Newcastle on this subject

Seems strange to me that the press continue to laud victories like this. You're talking about a team that cost in excess of £200m to assemble, probably more (I just don't care about them enough to count accurately), backed by infinite wealth from a nation that holds the World hostage with it's monopoly on oil. I really wish the media would turn around and say "oh, well, shame for Sunderland - the bottomless pit of cash from Manchester forward slash Dubai won. Better luck next time, football."

Just grates that we get endless plaudits for players like Yaya Toure and Samir Nasri, mercenaries who moved for money, who play for money. More power to them, it's not their fault, but why does everyone pander to it? As we all know, if any other club had the same resources, the same results would play out. There's no soul in it, there can be little joy had from it, because money won. Is this something that shouldn't be said? It this beyond criticism now?

 

I could agree with you but its Sunderland. The club are an absolute disgrace to football. Their fans are nothing but pathetic glory hunters. They didn't turn out until the final. Same with the FA Cup, no respect for the game or competition. Pink seats everywhere. But the 'loyal' fans will be out in their masses if they get past Hull because they are so well supported. My arse they are just a two bit dodgy yankee ran **** stain with a w**ker of a manager.
