It was an incredible atmosphere, the wall of noise was unreal.
Never heard city fans until they scored.

Im disapointed that we didn't win. But the team gave everything, nothing you can do about being unstuck by 2 fantastic goals

Gutted too, we played so well in the first 1/2 too. Atmosphere was great from the moment we got on the tube. Made me realise what a massive club Sunderland is. With a little more investment and support I sm sure we will be back at Wembley really soon.

I was gutted when he took Johnson but he must have seen it differently to where he was

All the fans at Wembley and around London were a credit to the club and the city of Sunderland. I did not see anything but good humour, great support and great dignity in defeat. I have great faith in Gus, this is just the beginning

The league final went well. Kudos to Manchester City on winning the trophy.

Sunderland gave their all, there's nothing more to prove. These lads can deliver. I'll be happy to see these guys play again this season and the following season.

I was there I was there I was there...great day..great supporters and the team played their heart out...we
won the cup for 55 minutes and it was great....however 2 unstoppable goals..but if only borini had shot when he was through at 1 up..if only fletcher had shot instead of stood on the ball at 2 1 down.. Thats football isnt it..if only. I'm proud to be red and white..we came from everywhere and all you could see around the ground before the match was red and white and indeed after the match in london. A charlton supporter came up to me before the game and wished us well. Great atmosphere....even the man citay supporters were not too boring.
