Imagine the headlines They think it's all over....It is now Sniper puts Sir Geoff in Hearse Too early?
I'll tell you when you let me know its ready for sale It's like equity in your house; value is nothing til it's been sold!!
Ha ha, I thought of doing that. I have a bag or two stuffed with them in the attic, much to the wife's disgust. That is when I point out that I have known and loved Saints about 25 years longer than I have her; she can do the math!!!
I have about 6, they don't all fit me! My favorite is the Umbro red n white stripes from our League 1 season, or the home shirt from the year we got into the cup final (2001?). My least favourite is the (S) red n white stripes from our PL relegation season! I've also got two old Pony shirts from the 90s, and a yellow (S) Friends Provident shirt, not sure exactly what season.
I boxed up all my memorabilia including the tasteless FA Cup mirror and hundreds of programmes going back to the late sixties including FA and League Cup ones including both finals and countless scarves and took it all to the charity shop. I was glad to see the back of it to be honest as it was taking up a lot of room and I just knew that when I kicked the bucket my daughters will have just tipped it all in the rubbish bin.
Crikey I must be an addict then , I have at the last count 27 shirts. All sort of home ,away and third variations going back to the early 90's. When you consider I haven't bought any of the last two season's awful shirts that's some going.
I find this amusing. when I open my draw with all my Saints shirts in, it's just a mass of red and white stripes, I have to pull them out to actually distinguish which one is which. Your wardrobe must look like an aqua fresh factory has exploded.
my brother had a ball signed by all the team for Le Tiss`s last game, my boy loved it so my brother gave it to him. My cleaner spent 30 mins with paint thinner cleaning the ball thinking my son had scribbled all over it.
My dad has one of those gnomes. For quite a while it was hidden from my mum, beside the shed, because he knew she'd hate it (gnomes are "dead common" apparently).
Paddington was a three inch tall figure made from plaster of Paris. Somewhere in the house is another one painted in Saints blue away kit. The gnomes used to be sold in a market garden in Winchester Road between the Avenue roundabout and the Hill Lane roundabout. Here are a couple more little figures.
My family own Fishers cup final shirt which he wore in the game. I dont know **** about it too long ago for me but its still pretty cool i suppose.
I have Le Tiss in the England shirt on my shelf. They're made of plastic though, those big head footballers.
All football memorabilia is naff. Show me a tasteful soccer souvenir and I'll eat my hat. I found mine at the bottom of the toolbox. He has lived for the last few years amongst the spanners.
